I honestly believe that. Because everything discussed here, in just a few minutes of reading, has changed people lives. We’ve seen it over and over again. All you need to do, is read on, and apply the concepts. How would you feel if you were able to get healthier, fitter, and leaner, by following 6 simple habits.
Of course, it’s context dependent. Individuals will need different approaches. And long term, monitoring and adapting this will be crucial.
But for improving health and fitness (for most people generally- this is not to diagnose or treat anything), these healthy habits have proved to be a great starting point.
The information should be taught in schools. We should just know this. Speak to any health and fitness professional, and if they have at least a basic understanding of nutrition, they will probably agree with everything in this article. Now, with that in mind, let’s get to it.

Guys today we brought FX coach Matt onto the podcast to give a bit of an insight into one of his key areas of interest- pain!
Matt has an MSc in Strength and Conditioning from the University of Central Lancashire, and is a keen powerlifter (although he will argue he is now a "Hybrid athlete"). Since starting with us at FX, Matt has been exposed to all types of clients, working with other professionals to help to correct previous injuries and issues, and leading various coaching plans for weight loss, body composition and athletic development.
We look at the problems with a biomedical model, and introduce some of the often forgotten factors of pain perception and management. Enjoy- as always, questions can be sent straight over and I'll get back to you!
For me, the biggest change in my coaching over the past few years is stress management. Running a super busy life myself, I've seen first hand the benefits this can have, as well as the downsides of not considering this! Don't let stress ruin your progress (and make you a bit of a D**k).
Are your priorities right to achieve your fitness goals?
I’ve made this mistake. If you’re completely honest, you probably have too. In fact, you could be making it right now. You see, getting not your priorities right in fitness is a huge reason people fail to reach their goal.
Building on the recent blog post, making sure your priorities align with your goals is something you should constantly evaluate, and make adjustments if needed.

We often think of "optimisation" as precision. The gold standard, control all factors, calculate exactly, and execute. But in Personal training, Optimisation is less about precision, and more about maintaining a dynamic balance between the key areas that will allow you to succeed (The FX Key 5).
