Rye's dad was my pastor growing up at a large non denominational evangelical church in my small home town of Lynden WA. She grew up a pastors kid and I grew up very involved in the church. We both had great experiences in the church. Our foundation and morals came through the love and support of this church. 

Fast forward to being adults and Trump getting huge evangelical support leaving many of us millennials confused, hurt, and felling alone... in disbelief about how the basic ethics and morals so gracefully taught to us no longer matter when it comes to Trump. Thus a larger divide and hurt on both sides as the younger generation had already been on a mass exodus from the evangelical church for the last decade. 

Must it go this way? What if we took some time to understand and mend relationships? How can we have productive conversations with our Trump supporting family and church? 

Rye shared her experience and story with us and I for one found it very refreshing and relatable. This is just the start to a bigger conversation. 

Our Hope is to help bring unity... to help have the hard uncomfortable conversations about how we feel and not attack and shame people. 

Today we get to hear about the inspiring life story of BC Serna. It's always so awesome hearing someone pushing through life to be at service to others... Talon Sei's secret future plans and the new quarantine life, van life, road trip, work, youtube, and whatever we wanted to talk about.  Trying to keep my sanity I hit up Talon and asked if he would be down to Podcast over the internet.. he said yeah.. let's do it right now. We ended up having a great conversation. Talon is a great inspiration to me. I love his story on how he build up his youtube channel all the hard work he puts into it. What is the best case scenario of your life? We often undermine our abilities, goals, and big picture of our life, but I believe everybody has the capacity to leave an impact in this world wherever we may be. What's that look like for me? My wife and I have talked about for quite some time, and we've officially decided to sell our place to head down to Venice Beach, California. With no specific agenda, time frame, or community, we just knew we wanted to be in a warmer place than Washington. We discuss my journey moving down to Venice Beach as a content creator and meeting other like minded people here.

For those who don’t know, I’ve been working with Jake, my personal trainer, over the last several months. Although it’s been a long time since I’ve worked out at a gym, he’s been such a valuable resource to help push me into a healthier way of living.

London Fletcher is a 7th grader that is greatly passionate about wildlife and especially whales. At 6 years old, she saw the documentary “Black Fish” and was very moved by the sobering truth the film portrayed. Since then, she’s been traveling around the world to do all she can to help raise awareness and find solutions to the mistreatment of whales.

After an elective class in high school that was centered on creating videos, Dominic and I both realized we had a passion for it more than most of our peers in the class. In this podcast, we talk through the journey Dominic makes as a filmmaker and husband on his way to Hollywood.

Growing up in the midwest, Nathan graduated college without knowing what he wanted to do. After working in multiple industries, he became a real estate agent. A couple years later of hard work, and he's flourishing in his pursuit to help others find the home that fits them best.

Chad Derosa who runs the YouTube channel, Living The Van Life, has an impactful and inspiring story. Many know him for living in a van, but I've also seen him pursue his filmmaking dreams. Even though I've known Chad for years, I learned so much from this podcast talk with him.  

We sat down with about 20 women to hear their #metoo stories. It was heart braking and gave me a totally different perspective and I hope that it encourages others to be quick to listen and slow to speak. I hope we can lean into empathy and understanding to build unity through our human journey that we are all going through.
