Melissa Fu - Interview

Melissa Fu - Interview

I had the wonderful opportunity to interview the debut novelist, Melissa Fu. Her first novel, Peach Blossom Spring, came out in March 2022. It's a historical fiction that follows three generations of a family as they flee their home due to the First Sino-Japanese War, all the way to when the son, RenShu migrates to America. I do want to mention that there may be small spoilers in this interview. We talk about the things that inspired this novel, how it went from a short story based in America to a full size novel spanning multiple countries & several years, and of course which books Melissa has read & recommend.
