In today's episode we dive into how the pandemic is effecting our elders and how Lisa's amazing team of about 75 volunteers at Meals on Wheels of College Park are taking on the challenge to ensure that they get a balanced diet in a time where leaving the home or having visitors is so limited. We also hear about her other foundation, The Michael D. Maxwell Foundation for Mental Awareness and how they are creating safe spaces in schools around the area to provide a space for students to chill out and take a break from the stressors and anxiety issues they face while at school.

Trauma is a part of our lives that we can't control. Whether you're experiencing trauma in your personal life or whether you experience traumatic events in your work environment, there are ways to cope with them and live a healthy life.
On today's episode, we were joined by Dr. Lesley Goth, who walked through some common signs of trauma, what it does biologically to us, and then offer a few steps for healing from traumatic experiences.
We talked about EMDR and how it can literally help heal you from things you may not even know were there - while targeting the things you did.
Lesley Goth, PsyD has been in private practice since 2004. She began specializing in eating disorders and quickly came to see the importance of understanding and being able to treat trauma on a much deeper level. Lesley has since become EMDR therapy certified and loves working with trauma survivors, especially those that have served our country. She is passionate about helping people work through their trauma and find complete healing. Lesley loves to write and spend time with her family traveling and having fun as much as humanly possible. Her secret pleasure is reality TV and bingeing on Netflix. She lives in Colorado with her husband and two puppies.
