About Dr. Bradley Block

Dr. Bradley Block is a Long Island native who graduated with honors from the University of Pennsylvania with a Bachelor of Arts in the Biological Basis of Behavior. He went on to receive his doctorate in medicine from SUNY at Buffalo with research honors. He completed his residency in Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery at Georgetown University Hospital, where he was appointed Administrative Chief Resident, and received awards for research and leadership. Dr. Block practices general adult and pediatric ENT with special interests in sinusitis, sinus headache, and pediatric and adult obstructive sleep apnea. Dr. Block is Board Certified and is a member of the American Medical Association and American Academy of Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery.

About Vinod Dasa, MD:


Dr. Vinod Dasa completed his undergraduate and medical school in the 7 year combined degree program at Union College and Albany Medical College in New York. After completing medical school, Dr. Dasa trained in the State University at New York (SUNY) at Buffalo orthopedic surgery residency program.

In 2006 he furthered his training at the Insall Scott Kelly Institute in Sports Medicine and Joint Replacement Surgery. This fellowship is internationally recognized as one of the pioneers in total knee replacement surgery.

After completing his fellowship, Dr. Dasa and his wife decided to begin their careers as faculty at LSUHSC to help rebuild post-Katrina. In his tenure at LSU, he has developed surgical techniques to allow outpatient opioid-free total knee replacement and pioneered the use of cutting-edge technologies such as iovera. He has presented and published his research internationally in some of the world’s leading publications and meetings.

He serves in leadership roles both regionally and nationally and was most recently involved in national expert panels to help CMS redesign the delivery of total joint replacements and establish national guidelines on the management of knee arthritis. He currently serves as vice-chair for academic affairs for the department of orthopedics, Irvin Cahen endowed chair for research, chair of the LSU clinical practice leadership group.

He is the co-founder and chief medical officer for an innovative start-up, SIGHT Medical, and helped co-found a novel medical education platform called DOC SOCIAL. His research interests cover all areas of adult orthopedics focusing on joint replacement, knee arthritis, health disparities, and outcomes research.

About Cory Calendine, MD:


Cory Calendine, M.D., is a board-certified orthopaedic surgeon specializing anterior hip replacement, robotic joint replacement, and partial and total hip and knee replacement. Dr. Calendine received his medical degree from the University of Tennessee College of Medicine, and completed a residency in orthopaedic surgery at Vanderbilt University Medical Center.

He completed his fellowship training in adult reconstruction of the hip and knee at the world-renowned Anderson Orthopaedic Research Institute in Alexandria, Virginia. He has expertise in Mako RIO robotic-arm assisted surgery as well as revision hip and knee replacement, knee arthroscopy (knee scope) and treatment of arthritis and osteoarthritis of the hip and knee.

Dr. Calendine currently serves as chief of the Division of Orthopaedic Surgery for Williamson Medical Center, where he often hosts national and international visiting surgeons who come to learn about latest techniques and advancements in orthopaedic surgery. He also serves as an elite reviewer for the Journal of Arthroplasty, a member of the American Association of Hip and Knee Surgeons and is one of only eight surgeons chosen to serve on the international Mako Champions faculty.

In 2018, he was selected to serve as a member of the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery Blueprint Development Exercise Work Group, which creates content for national credentialing exams. He also lectures nationally and internationally on joint replacement, most recently at the 2018 Chinese Hip Society in Guiyang, China.

When he’s not practicing medicine, Dr. Calendine enjoys golf, movies, racquetball, youth ministry and weightlifting. He also dedicates his time to various nonprofit groups, such as Mission UpReach, City of Children and the Sarah Walker Foundation.

About Scott Sigman, MD:  

Dr. Scott A. Sigman is a board-certified orthopaedic surgeon providing comprehensive care to patients at Orthopedic Surgical Associates of Lowell since 1996.  Specializing in Sports Medicine, Dr. Sigman possesses the skills and experience to diagnose and treat sports injuries and conditions affecting the knee and shoulder.

In addition to his practice duties, he has served as the Team Physician for the US Ski Jump Team, and serves for the last 20 years as the Team Physician at UMASS Lowell, and is the past Chief of Orthopaedics at Lowell General Hospital.

Dr. Sigman has also contributed to numerous publications and research studies regarding advances in the field of orthopaedic surgery.  He takes great pride in remaining informed of the latest state-of-the-art arthroscopic techniques for both knee and shoulder surgery.  He also gives presentations and lectures and instructional courses to fellow surgeons throughout the world in new shoulder and knee surgery techniques.

In 2019, Dr. Sigman was elected as a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians of Ireland, Faculty of Sports & Sports Medicine. This certificate is a culmination of his ongoing efforts to change the paradigm of postoperative pain management.
