LETS allow people to negotiate the value of their own hours or services, and to keep wealth in the locality where it is created. Michael Linton lives on Vancouver Island in Canada.  He has 3 children and more grandchildren. In his 20s, Michael was interested in physics, engineering, computers, business and school teaching, and trained to become a teacher of Alexander Technique in 1979. In 1982 he found / discovered / designed LETSystems | Local Exchange Trading | and has since been active in community currencies for approaching 40 years. We will be talking about money and community currency development. Similar trading systems around the world are also known as Community Exchange Systems, Mutual Credit trading systems, Clearing Circles, Trade Exchanges or Time Banks. These all use 'metric currencies' – currencies that measure, as opposed to the fiat currencies used in conventional value exchange. These are all a type of alternative or complementary currency.

Ep. 212 BREATH: The New Science of a Lost Art with Author James Nestor
AN INSTANT NEW YORK TIMES BESTSELLER! No matter what you eat, how much you exercise, how skinny or young or wise you are, none of it matters if you’re not breathing properly. There is nothing more essential to our health and well-being than breathing: take air in, let it out, repeat 25,000 times a day. Yet, as a species, humans have lost the ability to breathe correctly, with grave consequences. Journalist James Nestor travels the world to figure out what went wrong and how to fix it. The answers aren’t found in pulmonology labs, as we might expect, but in the muddy digs of ancient burial sites, secret Soviet facilities, New Jersey choir schools, and the smoggy streets of São Paulo. Nestor tracks down men and women exploring the hidden science behind ancient breathing practices like Pranayama, Sudarshan Kriya, and Tummo and teams up with pulmonary tinkerers to scientifically test long-held beliefs about how we breathe. "With his entertaining, eerily well-timed new book, James Nestor explains the science behind proper breathing and how we can transform our lungs and our lives. . . . The book is brisk and detailed, a well-written read that is always entertaining, as he melds the personal, the historical, and the scientific." —The Boston Globe

Ep. 206 World Education Foundation with Marques Anderson
Marques is a visionary who asks “why not?” Why not Make a Difference in the world, why not Change the world and why Stop until WE have? Marques is a former American Football safety in the National Football League.  He holds a Masters of Education in Adult Learning and Global Change from Linköping Universitet, Sweden. Having the opportunity to travel extensively throughout North and South America, as well as Europe and Africa, Marques began to develop strategies to address some of the most critical social problems we currently face as a global community. Following his dream to do more, Marques created the World Education Foundation 2009. “BUILDING BRIDGES FOR PEACE THROUGH EDUCATION” WE MISSION The WE Foundation bridges the gap between academic and expert knowledge and their implementation in local communities around the world. WE are creating the classrooms, learners and livelihoods of tomorrow to help societies sow the ideas and grow the solutions to their most pressing issues. Using toolkits like the WE:SOLVE Labs, our associates craft workable solutions and build global collaborations, ultimately generating new market opportunities. By collecting large amounts of anonymized data from each project, WE are also building a larger picture which helps us make better connections and more tailored programs for each new community we interact with. Essentially, WE help share the best proven practices across all kinds of borders and boundaries to promote and secure peace through education. WE VISION WE are working to help global communities reshape themselves through the use of technology and education. In the field, WE focus on opening up opportunities for research and learning, which in turn cultivates understanding and leads to better informed solutions. We strongly believe that through the wide spread application of knowledge, collaboration and empathy, humanity as a whole is capable of moving to the next level of perception and action, thereby achieving peace in this generation. This is of course a mighty task and the work involved will be monumental, but WE propose that with todays level of interconnectedness and the feedback loop between humans and technology, it is well within our collective reach.

Ep. 196 When the war within you ends with Brandon Bozarth
Brandon is a facilitator of transformation and miracles! Among his groundbreaking offers and courses are The Presence Project and the newly completed coaching program: The 13 , which is guiding leaders and seekers into deeper level of self-realization. In this episode Brandon shares a bit of his background and how he literally followed his inner guidance from "chaos" to bliss, supporting people and teams on the way. A path to a new earth with Brandon Bozarth: (from Brandon's website) "We all know the first step in solving any challenge, global or local, is to BE THE CHANGE we would like to see. But to be the change, first we need to know HOW to change (the science of transformation and behavior), and WHAT to be (who we are, what we are passionate about, and what gifts do we have to give). Although these questions may seem big or daunting, the process of discovering the answer to them lies in one word, Integration. Integration is the process of transforming, unconditioning, and reconditioning the negative beliefs and behavior patterns that make up who we think we are (ego) and keep us from our true nature (higher self), thus creating fear, separation, war, greed, disease while simultaneously concealing the answers to the questions above most of us are seeking. In fact most people spend 70% of their life trying to get out of stress... All because of an unintegrated ego which controls 100% of our behavior and results in all areas of our lives. Integrating the negative unconscious beliefs automatically reveals the answers to the questions above, creating love, fulfillment, healing, happiness, abundance, clarity, leadership, and most importantly allows you to live your divine design (the expression/s of your passion and excitement). Your divine design means you are 100% supported in all ways, financially, emotionally, relationally, and spiritually by your passion. No longer can you live a life that is not representative of who you are and what you are passionate about. For those of you that are living your passion in all ways you possibly can, but you aren't experiencing being fully supported by it, this is for you too... If every person on the planet gave their unique gifts to the world and allowed their passion and purpose to support them in all ways the Earth will become a harmonious example of the unconditional love, peace and unity THAT IS  humanities destiny. We would finally see how perfectly we all fit together as pieces of one cosmic puzzle." That's the work Brandon dos and where You freedom begins... when the war within you ends with Brandon Bozarth

Ep. 188 An exploration of associative cooperation in economic life with Marcus Geimer
Marcus R. Geimer is a german carpenter and pedagogue living in Brasil. His interest is in Human Integrity, which he is exploring in different projects and contexts, such as making natural toys for children, economic education for youth, collaboration trainings in organizations and integrity consulting with individuals. Marcus approach is rooted in the Intuitive Pedagogy of Pär Ahlbom, and  greatly influenced by Orland Bishop, whom he was mentored by over a decade. Recently Marcus spoke at the Intergen Summit during Family Office Association meetings in North America, and became part of One Humanity Institute, a global organization fostering humanity at its best. This conversation is an exploration of new economic practices, based on anthroposophical understanding of:   Which role Liberty, Fraternity and Equality - the principles of the French Revolution - can play for the regeneration of the social organism. The so called Social Three-Folding is a finding of Rudolf Steiner suggesting the progressive independence of society's economic, political and cultural institutions. It aims to foster:  - human rights and equality in political life,  - freedom in cultural life, and  - associative cooperation in economic life. In 2018 Marcus began designing and realizing economic practices, generating cases with game changing tendencies for our economic reality

Ep. 187 SEEDS - Regenerate Money decentralizing Abundance with Rieki Cordon
Todays guest is Rieki Cordon facilitator at SEEDS - Regenerate Money decentralizing Abundance. SEEDS is a solution to the greatest crises of our time.  *** if you want a personal invite to join SEEDS, with complimentary SEEDS to get started please E-Mail me at julian@greenplanet-blueplanet.com  It's a digital currency and financial system like we've never had access to before. One that serves, rewards and finances the people and organizations committed to creating a healthier and more equitable planet. Crafted from systems that reflect the latest in financial, social and political innovation, SEEDS is the web that connects and nurtures a globally regenerative culture. A financial system by the people for the people ... and the planet! Seeds are the unit of currency for the SEEDS platform, designed for your everyday use; whilst also being a revolutionary new way to distribute value to initiatives that deliver favourable outcomes for environmental & societal regeneration. So, Seeds is the currency with a conscience! You can easily convert traditional money into Seeds, use them for day-to-day transactions, online or peer-to-peer and convert them back to your local currency any time. Seeds are programmed to be intrinsically stable. More stable in fact than government-issued currencies which consistently lose value and most, highly volatile cryptocurrencies. How? Well, as the SEEDS economy grows, rather than rising demand causing the price of each Seed to increase, transparent protocols maintain a stable value by growing new Seeds - just like central banks create more money today. New Seeds (this extra value from growth) then flow to all people, communities and organisations of the SEEDS ecosystem, based on a variety of contributions (not just wealth!). Not only that, but these protocols, distributions and initiatives are governed and evolved directly by the citizens of SEEDS.

Ep. 172 (Re) Humans Series with Sandy Wiggins
(Re) Humans Series ReHumans are inspiring leaders committed to understanding what it means to be human in the 2020s and beyond, as our times are complexifying and our spirit is uniting. Together we are reimagining the new narrative and redefining what success means. What does the world require most these days ? A conversation with Sandy Wiggins. Read more below about Sandy's practice, training and overall creations.  About Sandy Wiggins: Statement of Practice: Each of us has the capacity to be fully awake and fully alive. In fact, this is what we are called to be from the moment of our first breath. It is our destiny. It is also what is most needed in the world. The stories that dominate our lives, our unconscious beliefs, childhood relationships with care givers, cultural conditioning, and physical and emotional trauma are some of the barriers that keep us from this destiny. Breath is a portal through which we can heal and transcend all of that, enabling us to access our innate capacity to be fully awake and fully alive. As a practitioner, I work with individuals and groups using breath to activate this capacity that we all possess. Inspiration Training: I completed the entire Inspiration curriculum and spent many years under the guidance of Inspiration’s founder and principal teacher, Jessica Dibb, and other Inspiration practitioners training as a breathworker. I am certified as an Integrative Breathwork Practitioner by Inspiration and the Global Professional Breathwork Alliance. I continue to be an active member of the Inspiration Community as a learner, guide and part of an ongoing Bodhisattva circle. Other Training: In addition to Integrative Breathwork, I have studied Therapeutic Breathwork, Holotropic Breathwork, and Coherent Breathing. I began my adult life in a monastery, followed by a classical education in Physics and Philosophy. I have been a lifelong student of Eastern and Western philosophies and wisdom traditions and have studied and practiced numerous meditation and transformational techniques over 40 years, including Contemplative Prayer, Vipassana, Transcendental Mediation, TM advanced techniques and the TM-Sidhi program, Zen and Kriya yoga. I have studied Archetypal Patterns at the Assisi Institute, studied the Enneagram extensively including coursework on the Enneagram for Healing Practitioners, and completed the Landmark Curriculum for Living. I have also engaged in a variety of coursework on systems theory with Fritjof Capra and Margaret Wheatley. I spent many years as a business executive before realizing the damage that was being wrought on life by our current economy, at which point I redirected my life energy toward changing that. I went on to chair the U.S. Green Building Council and helped to develop the LEED rating system and move it out into the world. I also chaired the Business Alliance for Local Living Economies (BALLE), an organization that is working to create economies that work for all, and have worked extensively as a Sr. Advisor to RSF Social Finance to redirect capital flows in ways that support life. As a student of process and systems, I became an NCI certified Charrette Manager and Facilitator and have worked across the U.S. to help communities in their efforts to become socially just and environmentally sustainable. In addition to my breathwork practice, I also facilitate workshops, communities of practice and retreats focussed on personal transformation, equitable economies, environmental sustainability and culture change.

Ep. 162 ShoreLock restores critically eroding coastlines with Blayne Ross
About ShoteLock: ShoreLocks mandate is to protect and restore critically eroding coastlines through sustainable, proactive coastal maintenance around the globe. When sand looses its ability to bind with other sand particles, the result is increased erosion. Thus, hydrophobic sand that cannot bind with water  is more easily washed away. ShoreLock promotes that relationship by the retention of interstitial water, facilitating the accretion of sand along the beach. By promoting hydrogen bonding, a liquid bridge is formed between grains of sand. This liquid bridge increases surface tension and allows natural accretion to occur through tidal wave action. ShoreLock also promotes dewatering below the surface level of the beach to help reduce escarpment. About Blayne Ross: Blayne is a creative entrepreneur, experience designer and producer known for award winning experiences, environments and content that sparks meaningful connections. He began his career in the entertainment industry in 2001 and quickly found a home working on the Emmy nominated HBO series Six Feet Under at the Greenblatt Janollari Studio. With a passion for complex stories that influence culture, Blayne became a Creative Executive in Original Programming for the Showtime Network, where he supervised "hit" series such as The L Word and Queer As Folk. He also helped develop the critically acclaimed, Peabody award winning political drama Brotherhood. Embracing his love of design and inspired physical environments, Blayne left Los Angeles for New York City to found a Design-Build shop, The Argyle Group. There, Blayne provided an end-to-end solution including architecture, interior design and construction services for clientele ranging from the Hamptons to Hawaii. Currently, he runs KAID a interior design and development company that has remodeled some of Manhattan's largest residential buildings in addition to developing furnished, single family, luxury, lifestyle properties. Ep. 153 MakeSoil, a movement to regenerate the Planet with Josh Whiton
Josh Whiton is an impact entrepreneur blending technology and business with active care for the planet. The companies, projects, and planetary interventions he serves aim to harmonize society with nature, catalyze a regenerative economy, and elevate human consciousness. Regenerate The Planet We need to start regenerating the planet, rather than simply consuming it as a raw material. Our society produces an enormous amount of food waste. Currently, nearly all of it goes to landfills where it rots, releasing CO2 and methane — an even worse greenhouse gas. When instead we turn that food waste into soil, the carbon and nutrients go into the ground, sequestering carbon, while producing the topsoil our food system depends on. More about Josh: The Projects he created include the transit-tech company TransLoc, for which he was named a Champion of Change by the White House. TransLoc was #5 on Fast Company's list of the most innovative companies in transportation and was recently acquired by the Ford Motor Company. Josh also co-founded one of the first urban farms in the southeastern United States, helping thousands of people each year to participate in a more beautiful food system. His latest intervention is MakeSoil.org

And in an official nod to the revolutionary spirit, the World Economic Forum itself, which runs the show, released a new “Davos Manifesto,” for the “fourth industrial revolution.” Among Julians favorite experiences were: - The GreenDebate at Hotel Seehof - Salesforce Lunch and Panel with Jane Goodall, Will I am and others - Remember 2030 party at #Blockbase  Here is an article in the New York Times about this Remeber2030 Event during which Julian offered a Breathwork and Meditation: https://www.nytimes.com/2020/01/23/opinion/sunday/davos-2020-capitalism-climate.html The Green Debate, organised by In-Events, did bring together forward-thinking executives and CEOs who share a common interest in sustainable business and development. Panel participants included Erika Karp, Founder and CEO of Cornerstone Capital Group; Ibrahim Al Husseini, CEO of Full Cycle; Thimo V. Schmitt, Director of Corporate Responsibility and Sustainability at Aurora Europe;  For context, here is an overview of what the official WEF agenda was for 2020: The Programme for the Annual Meeting did prioritize six key areas: Ecology: How to mobilize business to respond to the risks of climate change and ensure that measures to protect biodiversity reach forest floors and ocean beds. Economy: How to remove the long-term debt burden and keep the economy working at a pace that allows higher inclusion. Technology: How to create a global consensus on deployment of Fourth Industrial Revolution technologies and avoid a ‘technology war’. Society: How to reskill and upskill a billion people in the next decade. Geopolitics: How the ‘spirit of Davos’ can create bridges to resolve conflicts in global hotspots. Informal meetings to set kickstart conciliation. Industry: How to help business create the models necessary to drive enterprise in the Fourth Industrial Revolution.
