Angel from Sunrise El Paso -a movement in the border city created to fight the climate crisis- stopped by the podcast. Angel shared the goals of Sunrise El Paso as an organization, and discussed the work that her and other member have been heavily involved in, including drafting a climate charter that promotes -among other things- Green economic growth for the Sun City. The climate Charter, also known as Proposition K, will be on the ballot May 6.

She labels herself an abolitionist whose passion and focus is to dismantle our current judicial system, and re-build and replace with one that is just and fair for all. Her work also focuses on helping formerly incarcerated people transition out of life behind bars and into society, so that they have an opportunity to thrive on the outside. I cannot even begin to tell you all how empowered I felt walking away from this conversation. Bridgette has inspired me and given me a new definition of what not giving up means.
