If you're like me, you love jumping in to plan for a new year! But the best way to move forward burden-free is to reflect on the past, so I wanted to pause to do that first and show you how too, too. 

In this episode, we'll take an uplifting look at all of the things you loved about this past year (or season, depending on when you're tuning in!) and want to continue incorporating into your next steps, in addition to all of the things you'd like to avoid a repeat of in this coming season (and how to do that). 

Even if it's not a new year when you're watching this, a technical new season, quarter, your birthday, a Sunday/Monday/whatever day you consider the first day of the week, this still applies for you if you want to move forward without baggage.

Recently, so many articles, people, and resources talk about the financial impacts of layoffs as they skyrocket, but what about the part that impacts everyone in really intense ways: the emotional impact of layoffs? 

In this episode, we'll get real about the emotions that come with being laid off, no matter if you were expecting it or felt completely blindsided. It'll show you how to cope with this stressful loss, give you ideas for feeling better when you feel anything but great (or even good, for that matter!), and affirm that what you're feeling is both understandable and completely normal when reacting to a situation like this. 

Even if you're in a secure role, are dreading going through a layoff and want to know what you can do if you ever experience one, want to help a friend who is going through one, or want some ideas for going through a tough time in general, this episode will provide some ideas for how to manage such a stressful life event from someone who's experienced it.

Sometimes we go through days or even seasons of sadness, and we just need a pick-me-up. Life is not always perfect, so when we feel sad, it's good to have some go-tos for what we can do to feel better and bounce back quicker onto the path of our dreams.

This is a super practical and great episode for if you're going through hardship right now, for putting tools into your back pocket for a rainy day, or for figuring out how to best help a loved one go through a tough moment or season in life.
