Lt. Tommy Collins murdered in the line of duty in Wichita Falls
3 officers were shot in a shoot out by Dan Fowler. Lt. Tommy Collins was killed while two other officers were wounded.
Man kills his 3 children and decapitates them while the mother helps- they had become witches
This is one of the stories that caused me to stop writing for a few years. This story and a few others were just more than my brain could hold.
Warning - it's pretty detailed.
John Rubio and Angela Camacho killed and decapitated their 3 children. The rest you just have to listen to.
Susan Canfield - CO at Huntsville Prison
Correctional Officers face probably more frighting things than PD and SO do sometimes. This is a story of a CO who was killed by 2 escaping prisoners.
Floyd Newton Byrne kills and dismembers 3 woman
He says he doesn't remember doing it, but the murders were really grotesque.

She kicked him at of her house in Granbury, Texas.
He snuck in a bedroom window and forced both kids into his car.
He ultimately received the death penalty for his horrific crime.

It all started with a Santa suit.
One died from a gunshot, one was executed, one was lynched and one was pardoned by the governor.
-This is such a convoluted story with twists or turns.

The "Candyman" poisoned his own son on Halloween night
Who can take a sunrise, sprinkle it with dew, cover it in chocolate with a miracle or two.... Sadly there was no miracle on Halloween night except maybe the fact that 4 kids survived this horrible act, while his son died at the hospital.
This story and what happened, changed the U.S. forever in the way that parents think about Halloween.

Hulon Mauldin decided to murder his wife at a downtown Wichita Falls high rise, while his mother was picking up his laundry and waiting for him on the street.

Arlin didn't want another child.
He loved his 2 year old son so much.
So he killed his pregnant wife, loaded her body in the car with his son just inches away and took her body to dump it.
Bud Ballew - Notorious Gunslinger had one too many drinks
Bud Ballew was a famous gunslinger in Oklahoma and North Texas history.
He came to Wichita Falls and met his match from a little police chief.

This is several stories about our Civil War Veterans. Lately, there has been a crusade to tear down the Civil War statue at Memorial Auditorium. I believe those who are wanting to tear it down are uneducated in the Civil War, probably because it hasn't been taught in school lately like it had been in the past.
Form your own conclusion after you listen to this, but just remember, a veteran is a veteran, no matter which war they were in.
Deadly Hotel Fires in Downtown Wichita Falls
The first fire claimed the lives of one hotel guest and two Wichita Falls firemen. There is an historical marker inside the library commemorating the firemens deaths.
The second fire was said to be the deadliest hotel fire in Wichita Falls.
