Marmots with the Legendary Dr. Greg Florant

Are Monarchs Really in Trouble? Featuring Dr. Andy Davis
We're back from our summer break!
Joining us today is Dr. Andy Davis from the University of Georgia.
In this episode we unpack the controversial question of how well are our monarch butterfly populations really doing?
To quote Dr. Andy Davis "I have many research interests, although I consider myself an animal ecologist, with a strong emphasis on all things physiological. My work straddles the disciplines of physiology, disease ecology, parasitology, hematology, and natural history. The majority of this work involves studying how animals' physiologies respond to their environments, and most of my previous and current projects address issues related to this subject. " Additionally [his] work is not limited to any one taxon, but spans the disciplines of ornithology, entomology and herpetology."
We cannot thank Dr. Andy enough for sharing his time and knowledge!

Dances with Donkeys
Megan is not your typical farrier, earning the moniker "The Donkey Farrier," Megan "is about serving donkeys in a positive and educated light. She is equal parts farrier, educator and welfare advocate." In this episode we not only discuss donkeys and what makes them so great but also how important hoof care is, especially for animals that are misunderstood and are not the average equine.

The Lion: Featuring Special Guest Nick "Fantastic" Fantauzzi
This week we are not only discussing the king of the jungle but also the king of the ring Nick Fantauzzi (professional boxer with an impressive 10-0 record)!
This episode is one of our special worlds collide episodes (meaning having a non animal expert guest on) check out our other two worlds collide episodes from last year! As previously stated, the purpose of these types of episodes are to bring together individuals and groups of people that at first glance seem completely unrelated and indifferent to each other. This combination always yields a fun and interesting episode that expands both parties horizons while also showing that non-animal experts also care about conservation and wildlife as well!
