Janet Mefferd: The Blackmailing and Mistreatment of Tom and Jennifer Buck by the SBC

Janet Mefferd: The Blackmailing and Mistreatment of Tom and Jennifer Buck by the SBC

Janet Mefferd. She is an esteemed reporter and award-winning Christian radio broadcaster. She was heard on more than 450 radio stations nationwide during her 12 years of daily national syndication. She is also a former news and religion reporter and editor for newspapers including The Dallas Morning News and the Daily Herald in suburban Chicago.

I really wanted to have her on to talk about the issues surrounding South Eastern Baptist Theological Seminary and the rank mistreatment of Tom and Jennifer Buck, really what amounts to blackmail to keep him quiet about the SBC’s drift into Wokeness and Liberalism.

Love is Love?

Love is Love?

Should Christians Be Nice?

Should Christians Be Nice?

The nicer you are, the more vulnerable you can become to apostasy, because niceness is passive and flexible. The nice person is completely at the whim of whatever the other person says or believes. Nice is overrated. It can’t win spiritual wars, discipline the unrepentant within a church, or stand in persecution.

What is the Gospel?

What is the Gospel?

Episode 1. We need clarity on what we mean by the Gospel. The term “Gospel” is used so pervasively in Christian circles, that we tend to take it for granted. It loses its meaning. We have Gospel music, Gospel-Centeredness, Gospel this and Gospel that. We need to stop filling the Gospel up with whatever the culture might deem important and good for today. Social justice, increased welfare, feminism, LGBTQ causes get shoved into the Gospel as a cudgel to manipulate us into doing whatever the political left wants. We need to understand, truly, what the Gospel is.
