Just Jivin'

What is goin on EVERYBODYYYYY?!?! It's been a minute, a hot minute in fact since I last posted an episode. But here we are, back at it again baby!

I wanted to try doin something a little different this time. Instead of working on my own thoughts, I wanted some friends to send me some of their own thoughts and opinions they had. And I would just go off of that and start some kind of "dialogue" so to speak.

We'll see how well this goes but I just had to get something out there lol.

Wow. Can't believe after all this time I'm finally here. Thank you to all who've been on this journey with me so far. 

As a little thank you, we look back on the first episode and I interject with some current thoughts and opinions.

Now I wouldn't call myself "evil". But I'm certainly not the most morally righteous person out there. I wonder how I'm gonna talk about this one?

I finally got a solo episode with one of the hosts from "3 Stars Podcast", Brad Kaplan. The goal was to discuss imagination. And given our ADD/ADHD minds, I think we did a bang up job staying on topic this time.

I'm not religious, but...

I just had to record another episode with Sunny. Some context:

I was feeling some type of way about a personal situation, I called Sunny, we started chattin'...that's pretty much it.

This week was pretty awesome. I had the pleasure conversing with the upcoming artist Panarican and being from the same town, we vibed really well and honestly, I can't wait to have her on again

This week we talk about the challenges and triumphs faced this year. We discuss a few changes goin' down with the show, and celebrate making it another year on this floating rock hurling through space.

I probably had a bit too much fun editing this episode. But that just shows how dope the guest was. And what better way to discuss life than by finding the humor in it, hear hear?

Around November last year, I talked about perseverance. And in this episode I felt I should return to the subject. It's important to go back to certain topics to see where I've changed/stayed the same. And also well...I forget a lot.

It's great whenever Dan come thru because I get to just sit back, barely talk, and drink delicious wine. And what better way to celebrate Thanksgiving than with some good wine? Well...food, but you know what I'm sayin

Okay so at first this was supposed to be an update episode but somewhere during I guess It...became something else? Don't worry, I ain't gettin too deep on this one. It was just unexpected

This episode has been a long time in the making. And is NOT for those easily triggered or offended. Seven, seven times we tried recording. Seven times we've failed, and seven times greater the victory as me & Sunny finally recorded a full episode. And boooooooyyyy do we talk about some SH*T today y'all. *VIEWER DISCRETION ADVISED*

There will be times where I need to return to a previously discussed subject and give my updated thoughts on the matter. This will become a recurring event because to be human is to change, yet try to remain consistent. Hear hear?

Aii bet so y'all know I don't get too political on this show, but it's getting harder and harder to steer away from this topic. I invited my friend Matthew (Marty) Dark to converse and we ended up pretty much talking about American society and how COVID is affecting us all. Might ruffle some feathers but I think it's still worth the listen.

We ask two questions this week:

1.) Do you have an obligation to take care of your child after they're 18?

2.) Do active/involved step parents have a right to discipline children who they did not help craete?

I recorded this episode with almost 24hrs no sleep, and 7 beers deep. That's how much I can talk about anime. Put anotha brotha in front of me with the same love of it and well, we got ourselves a fine conversation

Can we evolve as a society? How important is it? How can the individual evolve to the next level, and is it possible to help others in that endeavor?

After many attempts, I finally got to record with one of my friends. He was shy this first time, but we still caught a glimpse at who he was

It's been a while since I got a solo episode out. I went back to the roots of the show and just picked a random word to riff to. Think I might adhere to this formula again.

I had the opportunity to have a conversation with the wife of Sunny Dass and it was absolutely marvelous. It was our first time really talking. Anime, life lessons, beer, we go all over the place. But it was a lot of fun

Guess what everyone, I have none other than my father on as a guest this week. I know, surprise. Be kind, he's still getting the hang of this production stuff. And perhaps it's because he's my dad, but I really enjoyed this conversation and I think y'all will as well.

So I happened to stumble upon an old recording of me and a friend, however I was INCREDIBLY intoxicated for this one. But it still sounded pretty decent and we had a lot of fun with it so...f**k it

I went on my first date in a while y'all. Well...j-just listen to the episode and judge for yourselves. 

This is a pretty cool episode y'all. I got my sister's SO on a Zoom call and we hashed it out while my niece was in the background just doin baby sh*t. It was pretty chill, like this guy.

Here's the thing about this episode y'all, this is the first real time I'll say I got raelly political on this show. About halfway through, I'm not sure what happened, but we got on the subject of America and what it means to us and possibly what we can do about it. Conversations like these may not be as rare moving forward.

A word used to describe me often is "passionate". I can totally see why, honestly. But do y'all know the origin story of how I became this way?

I gotta say, I wasn't expecting to have this much fun editing this episode this week. I got my mans Mike Lloret aka The Sol for this episode. And hog gone it if I don't need more musically inclined guests on my show. You'll understand what I mean by the end.
