A Conversation with Open Minds

We talk about two of the most polarizing subjects in America today, asking, Do Guns & Mental Health really go together like they say they do? If they do, why aren't we tackling them as a Nation? Both of them need addressing. America needs to have an honest come to Jesus' meeting and start the conversation.

1. Presidential Papers, the top secret documents found at the houses of politicians, and why they have them at home. 

2. The slap heard worldwide - Will Smith slapping Chris Rock at the Oscars. 

3. Brett Favre - The misappropriation of funds from welfare recipients to fund a new volleyball arena & speaking engagements. 

4. You People - A movie on Netflix with Eddie Murphy & Jonah Hill about an interracial relationship

As the title suggests, we will talk a little about Veterans Day and we also talk about the hero worship/treatment of Veterans. A brief movie review and something new to you, but not new in general, "Florida Man". 

Today the question is What is Fairness? What does it mean, and what does it mean to you?  Does it exist or are we fooling ourselves into believing that?  We don't have all the answers, just our opinions.  Feel free to voice yours too, we would love to hear your thoughts.

Because of the George Floyd murder, we wanted to talk about police reform, and because it has many layers, we start with their training and tactics, what they do and how can we change or improve it. We also have another guest on the show today, a good friend of ours who wanted to give us his views.

It all started August 26, 2016, when Colin Kaepernick sat down for the National Anthem at the preseason game for that season. The protest was for the ongoing police brutality against unarmed black people that always ended in death. Sept 11, 2016, Colin knelt for the anthem instead, after a conversation he had with Retired Army Green Beret Nate Boyer and the story went from there. This short is about that spark and the fire that's still burning to this day.

A Conversation about religion, the first of many parts in this series. We have similar beliefs, some of us all believe in a "Higher Power" and some don't. but whatever you choose to call it, we all have something we believe in. We breakdown Judaism with a touch of Christianity for comparison's sake. We will touch on the others much deeper and then try to round it all up at the end. Hope you enjoy this one.
