Herdon Playlist for the Class of 2027
It's our annual Herndon Climb playlist, this time for the United States Naval Academy Class of 2027 and we have a few wrinkles this year.
The big news - this is our last Herndon Playlist!
More big news - to celebrate, the original My Kid The Mid - Noah Smith - has combed through all the previous playlists to bring you the Top 5 Most Plebe Songs. He also has a couple of surprises to add.
If you're connected to the Naval Academy in any way, you're not going to want to miss this special Herndon Playlist!
Herndon Playlist, Class of 2026
We did it live! Yes, we recorded this year's Herndon Playlist live on Falcon Radio from the campus of Bowling Green State University. So it's a little rough in spots but still a lot of fun.
I wrote a blog post about some of the reasons why I chose the songs - read it here.
Includes music by Chloe & The Silver Strings, Freight Street, Superchunk, Superchick, Relient K, World Party, Poi Dog Pondering, and Calibretto 13.

Herndon Playlist, Class of 2025
Every person we've talked to has had a unique perspective on the Herndon Climb. This year we go in a different direction as Chester Midshipmouse takes us through the Plebe Year experience thanks to author Susan Weisberg. From the demands of Plebe Summer, the grind of the academic year, and the thrill of Herndon, Chester shares all the emotions of Plebe Year at the Naval Academy, but also reminds us that there is life after Herndon.
Featured music by Switchfoot, Toad The Wet Sprocket, Skillet, Imagine Dragons, Relient K, Fireflight, Superchick, Todd Rundgren, The Benjamin Gate, ELO, and The Beatles.

Herndon Playlist, Class of 2024
Join me, fellow Mid Parent Ann Shyne, and the original My Kid The Mid (now ensign) Noah Smith as we create a playlist to mark the return of the "real" Herndon Climb, a sign that life at the United States Naval Academy is climbing back to normal. Featuring a shout out to Kristin Cronic, the artist behind Easel on Stribling, as well as music by Twenty-One Pilots, Shout Out Louds, Micah Tyler, Five Iron Frenzy, Relient K, Holding Absence, Fireflight, and more.
