five steps to life in your growth zone

five steps to life in your growth zone

i’ve been known to be the queen of the comfort zone. after my trauma, i spent hours of my day creating a space that was comfortable for me to exist in. and i firmly believe there’s a time and place for the often seemingly stagnant practice of healing. there are many reasons to stay in your comfort zone (i’ll get to that in the next few weeks – this is important, too!)

but comfort zones aren’t ideal places for growth. in fact, discomfort is the only path to growth. the hard things, the weird things, the nerve-wracking things, the scary things – those things are the things that exist in your growth zone.

today i share with you five steps to moving from your comfort zone to your growth zone to help you get out of that funk (and fear) that's keeping you stagnant.

stepping into your feminine energy

i once saw energy described like this: masculine energy gives, and feminine energy receives. i had a really difficult time processing this, i won't lie. everything i had known to be true in my life seemed so opposite of this. we live in a masculine dominant society, and they didn't always seem like givers to me.

but what i was seeing was masculinity that was unbalanced. i use to imagine masculine and feminine to be based on interests and not character traits and energies. what felt like misalignment in my gender identity at times was actually an imbalance in my energy. balancing energies is what gives us the most clarity in following our intuition. our souls crave balance.

feminine energy is associated with stillness, nighttime, intuition, creativity, feelings, and senses. it is the greater yang energy. it is all about reception. it is entirely based around learning how to be. stepping into your feminine energy is all about opening yourself to receive.

ways to awaken your feminine energy:

  • relaxing
  • slowing down
  • going with the flow
  • opening yourself to being more receptive
  • not having plans
  • not going anywhere or doing anything
  • dancing
  • aesthetically pleasing things and atmospheres
  • free days
  • creating
  • activating your senses

there are ways to have healthy and unhealthy energy, but stepping into your feminine energy will bring upon enlightenment, gentleness, and peace.

2020 was an absolute shit show. for pretty much everyone. but i'm really trying to celebrate the fact that we made it through - and the fact that even though everything is a shit show and a half, i somehow seem to have also made some pretty significant life-altering decisions and started to pursue my highest self. think of this as my 2020 holiday card, but make it virtual :) i'm SO glad you're here. thanks for listening! xoxo
