Meet Paula Meyer Besler, JD, is the President/Founder of ON BEHALF OF Professional Advocacy & Training, where she lobbies on behalf of survivors of sexual violence for legislation to assist them in their day-to-day quest for justice as well as for legislation preventing others from becoming victims. Paula has held several leadership positions in the legal field while raising 4 children. Paula is currently working with Erin Merryn of Erin's law to help pass this imperative law in the 12 remaining states yet to pass it. Paula also trains professional advocates/sexual assault service providers on the laws and systems of their state to assist them in optimal advocacy on behalf of their clients.

Paula’s entire career has been devoted to using her legal and leadership voice to represent and benefit exploited individuals and to make the systems that serve them better. From healthcare to human trafficking and sexual harm and exploitation, the throughlines of her work are in how she can shape policies and community responses to create a healthier and more just society. Before founding ON BEHALF OF, Paula was a Managing Attorney of the Chicago Alliance Against Sexual Exploitation (CAASE), where she oversaw the representation of survivors of sexual exploitation, sexual assault, and sex trafficking, including Educational and Employment Advocacy, Civil No Contact Orders and other criminal and civil actions such as the Gender Violence Act.
