Tiffani, a former exec at @Gartner and @Salesforce, who has met with seemingly every top CMO/CEO in the Fortune 500, has just dropped a new book “The Experience Mindset” (changing the way you think about growth) and I found it so kool and insightful I had to bring her on the program to discuss the ideas of working to break down silos, making it easier for employees to have success and taking a bigger view of Go To Market.
A chat that every co can find value. Please enjoy and let me know what you think.

Steve Blank
Taking Startup Shots with Lean and Mean Steve Blank.

He’s also been described as the Father of Modern Entrepreneurship and Credited with launching the #Lean Startup movement, Blank has changed how startups are built; how entrepreneurship is taught; how science is commercialized, and how companies and the government innovate. Mark Goldstein
In the Startup Dictionary with the definition of "entrepreneur" is a picture of Mark Goldstein. An old friend who always cuts to the quick and tells it straight even if it hurts....An old friend who I met way back when post college Mark was at Apple and while there caught the startup bug - which manifested into RealityTech, BlueLight, Loyalty Lab and a slew of other businesses that took the bleeding edge and added a sales pitch and it was off to the races.....and he has been rolling out new ideas nearly non-stop with thoughtful breaks at real world - like now where he's Partner at Builders Venture Capital www.builders.vc and a super impressive 501c3 called the Digital Health Foundation. Check out his formal background at www.markgoldstein.com Watch Digital Health Hub Foundation Awards Grand Finale @ HLTH https://youtu.be/0WicV5xO0_Q?si=EzwC7QGgEd6aqM7n

David Strom
David Strom is my go-to guy for all things Networking and Security -- the two hottest topics for the last 20 years. He's also an alumni friend who ran Network Computing, eWeek and has contributed or led many other tech-oriented media products. Strom was coerced to join me for a chat on The Look Back and in return I feel obliged to mention his must-read bylines on @SiliconAngle --> one of the sharpest perspectives on internet and security issues.
Marc Canter
Tune in, strap in, and get ready to remix! We were somehow able to get the man who I consider to be the creator of multimedia and one of the coolest software geeks out there, Marc Canter, to sit down and do The Look Back podcast session with me. We hit on those early days of Apple, Mac, multimedia and head into Metaverse, VR and of course AI - he has a unique perspective and some kool drops.
I hope you enjoy it as much as I enjoyed talking to Marc.
Annabel Chang
Great discussion on the future of Transportation with none other than @AnnabelChang, Director of Public Policy @Waymo, who is trying to to make driverless cars a reality. Already a hit in Arizona and SF, Chang is a change agent who came to Waymo from @AlaskaAirlines and @Lyft where she ushered in the world of #RideShare #GigWork and disrupting the transportation world - clearly not one to shrink from challenge Annabel shares lots of insight in future of transportation along with major shortcuts for entrepreneurs and innovators.
Tony Uphoff
Tony Uphoff has media instincts in his DNA -- as a child born into a media active family, Tony was destined to a world of publishing -- but at the helm of eWeek and InformationWeek and many other well known brands, and is not lending his experience and energy to Media/Research disruptor, @Acceleration Economy. Tony also led the turnaround and successful sale of Thomasnet.com to Xometry for $300M - just a blast to catch up with an alumni brother and someone I’ve always learned from and admired.
SC Moatti
The Look Back gets into product mode after chatting with Product Marketing Guru SC Moatti, a Partner @Mighty Capital and President of Products That Count and Managing Partner of Mighty Capital and Board Chair of Products That Count. I hope you enjoy and learn from this discussion as much as I did.

Robyn Cohen
In this episode of The Look Back, we catch up with mover and shaker Robyn Cohen, CEO and Founder of the W Collective - a Utah based group focused on elevating women in entrepreneurship - and she summarizes her goal in a few key data points; As of last year, 16% of GPs at VC firms with $50M+ in AUM are women. We need more women in VC and angel investors! We need more WOC starting businesses and raising money! It turns out Ann actually was a high school basketball cheerleader (and as Ann points out the class valedictorian) to the Federal Reserve to founding and running a software company, Open Systems, which she sold for a tidy profit, and then into Software focused VC firm #1.
As Founding Partner at Hummer Winblad, the first VC firm focused exclusively on software, formed in the late '80s she was turned down by hundreds of would-be LP investors at the time. Ann wound up funding many great co's including MuleSoft, Five9, Hyperion acquired by Oracle, Wind River and dozens others - now she's overseeing and coaching startups and investments in various markets including space and technology, while still cheerleading in her philanthropic adventures.

Roger McNamee
From Super Tech Profit Investor to Author, anti-hate Advocate and Web Prophet with a focus on saving democracy, capitalism, innovation. All that and some soulful sounds #Moonalice #Zucked
Please listen to this! I rarely beg and plead but this Look Back is beyond interesting, its a critical wide eyed look at our current surveillance economy that both challenges our current startup ecosystem but moreover threatens democracy and capitalism. We take a close look at what we’re doing and supporting - and NOT doing and NOT supporting. Shine a light into some of the dark - but first listen to this pod.
Jeremiah Owyang
I had questions: Web3 vs Web 1 and 2. How can we make it more equitable this time around? How does the Metaverse evolve and grow? Will Facebook get it right? Is it anarchy - Where will NFT's, Blockchain and Bitcoin fit in? Thankfully, my old friend had answers. He's just become CMO of an exciting Web3 tools company and has his hands in much more. Please give a listen and follow up as we continue to share insights on technology and leadership stories!

Brad Smith
Fantastic conversation with Brad Smith, the former CEO of Intuit who recently took on the role of President of Marshall University. Hey, all he had to do was follow and surpass the success of Intuit Founder Scott Cook, Coach - Startup Whisperer Bill Campbell and a few others - and he did! Such an inspiring conversation and passionate leader. You can see why he has had so much success and why you can bet Marshall is going to be a University to watch. Give a listen > you won’t regret it.
Mike Bell
Such a great time catching up with Mike Bell, CEO of Miso Robotics. We met when he was slinging software in the B2C consumer space (Encore Software) and then he transitioned his business management and leadership strength into a few enterprise tech companies but now Mike is running Miso - what an amazing new play in robotics - revolutionizing Restaurant/QSR space. Great chat, give a listen and pick up some great insights into leadership and a hot new market segment.
Dan Rosensweig
Dan is the CEO of Chegg and has become a huge advocate for reform of the education system and promoting school to be more affordable and relevant and inclusive in today’s tech-driven economy. His passion behind this cause in infectious. Crazy to think a few short decades ago we toiled in the world of ‘special interest publishing’ at the likes of Ziff-Davis but that turned into a treasure trove of learnings, contacts and more and led to even great heights for Dan as he went to run CNET, Yahoo and other businesses before turning to Chegg. I caught up with him a few weeks ago - he was in NY thinking about Springsteen and weekends @the shore, and I was transfixed on the pending Warriors playoff game. It was a blast to catch up. Give a listen here….
Heini Zachariassen
The Look Back catches up @Heini Z. - who I worked with in the security software market while he was still living in his hometown of Denmark - only to later find him pop up as Founder and CEO of Vivino living in the California Bay Area. Christina Seelye
What a great chat with Christina who I’ve known for forever > as the leader at My Software Company, then Maximum Games - and now she is CEO of Zordix AB, as well as founder and CEO of video game publishers Maximum Games and Modus Games, and development team Modus Studios. Maximum Games is an award-winning video game publisher with over 300 titles in its catalogue.
She’s also one of the few female leaders of a software company, and even in more select company if you count the number of female CEO’s running a gaming company but she is absolutely a force of nature and you have to check this pod out to know why Im betting on her (and more female leaders) in the world of software and gaming.
Ron Conway
They call him The SuperAngel. The Godfather of Silicon Valley - I think that’s a bit unfair since he’s not really that old - anyway, I just call him Ron. I’ve known him for years. Back when he was running a startup (Personal Training Systems) and not just investing in them (he’s run SV Angel since Internet 1.0). We had a great chat that covered all of this and much more. Please give a listen, share with a fellow entrepreneur or investor and subscribe: The Look Back with Ron Conway….
Jerry Colonna
Jerry Colonna
CEO, Reboot.io
Check-in, Reboot > Grow Up
My former colleague Jerry Colonna is just a wonderful person to connect with for many reason including some insight and perspective - and a little grounding as it were. His words always land and his sharing is as challenging in tone as they are in revealing.
In this episode of The Look Back we revisit our time together as journalists (@CMP) and technology guys and traverse over to his successful run as venture investor which set him up for what is now his current focus as a personal coach (CEO Whisperer) and author….btw, Unbelievable read. Check this out! “Reboot: Leadership and the Art of Growing Up” and can't wait to read the next one already!
