From the June 11th Episode. The Krew dives into the economic nature of the country over a year into the pandemic and Black class unity from the perspective of a Lawyer, Politician, and Blue Collar Construction Company Owner. 

This is the first show of 2021. The Kendall Moore Show is excited to be back in the studio. We are discussing the foolishness going on at the capitol.

Orange Is The New Black actress, Laverne Cox, was attacked in Los Angeles this week. Is there enough awareness about transphobia in the Black community?

People are offended by the flyer for the film, Cuties. Are we overspecializing children?  

CPS vs. Catholic Schools: Why do you think Catholic schools in the city are allowing in person instruction? What do single parent/guardian households plan to do for their students who will be home schooled? 

Hasbro recently removed its Troll Dolls from stores after 150k+ signatures were collected to protest the toy's inappropriately placing on a button on the toy's private area, causing the doll to make gasping noises. Are we oversexualizing children and their toys? 

Lit Round Table: O Magazine is erecting 26 billboards in Louisville to spread awareness about Breonna Taylor. Is this out of good intention or is Oprah using this for publicity? 

Trump is telling White folk to not worry about Black people moving into their neighborhoods.

With the recent death of #ahmaudarbery, the Kendall Moore Show questions if social media is a source of evidence for crimes or are people too quick to film vs. intervene and stop  the situation while it is happening.

We put so much pressure on Black girls to be the second mom to their siblings, to not get pregnant, to not be “too ghetto” vs. allowing them to enjoy their childhood. The Krew is talking about adultification and how we can celebrate and raise confident Black girls vs. quickly labeling them as fast, too grown, disobedient, etc.

Round Table Discussion: In honor of Mother’s Day Weekend, what superstitions did you mom teach you?

Governor Pritzker announced the Illinois schools, K-12 and colleges/universities, will be shut down for the remainder of the academic year. How will this affect college students? Class of 2020 graduates? The children who are already behind two grade levels and will not be attending summer school this year?

Many people are getting their stimulus checks. Will Black people spend it on rent, utilities, or debt? Or will they spend it on clothing and electronics?

Round Table Discussion: The quarantine will not last forever. After all of this is over, who will you social distance from on purpose?

RIP to Bill Withers. We are honoring the singer/songer by playing samples/covers of his hits.

How should people be using this quarantine time? Should people be focusing on learning new skills, building a side hustle, creating art/content? Or should this time be used for self-care, a break from life, and reflection?

Round Table Discussion: Dating has evolved over the decades and means different things to different people. What do you define as a date?

The Stay At Home Order has caused many issues for families, including parents, grandparents, guardians, etc. teaching their children at home. How can we support Black parents/caregivers educating their children during this time, some of which have not exceeded a formal education beyond a high school diploma, who are not technically savvy enough to use e-learning, and/or do not have reliable internet access?

The Stimulus Check: Keeping in mind that many people have been living paycheck to paycheck prior to the pandemic, is the $1200 a come up or chump change?

Round Table Discussion: What bad habit(s) have you picked up since quarantining?
