Sean "The Sheriff" McMorrow joins Gouche for a candid conversation about his hockey career as an enforcer, hockey then and now, the atmosphere of the game with inclusion, and his podcast "The Sheriff Podcast".   Sean was drafted in the 8th round, 258th overall in the 2000 NHL Draft by the Buffalo Sabres. He would start the season with the Rochester Americans of the American Hockey League, racking up 43 fighting majors in 64 games.  Almost three years after being drafted, McMorrow made his NHL debut with the Buffalo Sabres at the Air Canada Centre against his home town Toronto Maple Leafs.

Gouche Live, with host Peter Young presents "Where Were You in 1982" as Team Canada won GOLD at the World Junior Hockey Championships in Rochester, USA.   Peter will talk with head coach Dave King, James Patrick, Carey Wilson and Marc Habscheid about this historic moment in Canadian hockey. It was not only Canada's first ever World Junior hockey championship in 1982, it was before playoffs, before TSN, seemingly before few even cared, oh and before anyone televised the game for the title. Only one video tape of the entire game exists in the whole wide world….and guess who owns it? Peter Young. "I will not only have all the highlights but interviews with the head coach and three of the star players." states Young.  This Sunday, on multiple platforms, 40 years to the day since Canada won that gold medal.

Gouche Live with Joe Pascucci - Paul Maurice resignation, COVID tearing through the NHL, 1982 World Junior Championship

Joe Pascucci will talk Winnipeg Blue Bombers, NHL, Paul Maurice and shed some light on the 1982 World Junior Hockey Championships.  Pascucci worked at various radio and TV stations throughout Ontario while completing his broadcast journalism degree at Fanshawe College in London. He attended his first Grey Cup as an accredited journalist in 1977, driving through a snowstorm to attend the “Ice Bowl” in Montreal.  After serving as news director at CKAP in Kapuskasing and sports director at CHOO in Ajax, he joined Winnipeg’s CKND-TV (later rebranded as Global Winnipeg). Starting in 1982 as a Sports Reporter and weekend anchor, he also handled football play-by-play for the University of Manitoba Bisons and freelanced for ESPN and TSN.

Iafrate was a physical defenseman posting over 100 penalty minutes in six seasons during his career but was also known for his hard shot as he held the record for the hardest shot for 16 years, it was broken by Zdeno Chara. The Gouche and Jordan started off their regular season countdown schedule with the Central Division. The guys covered all the biggest questions facing this half of the division. The Minnesota Wild are coming off a surprising season that saw them beat the Colorado Avalanche in the playoffs, but they could struggle next year with Kirill Kaprizov still unsigned. The Chicago Blackhawks enjoyed a really strong offseason that fill a lot of gaps in their depth chart. Since retiring from the NHL, Warriner had a short stint in Europe before hanging up the skates.
