Free Indeed
Manuel Rivas started following Jesus while he was in a maximum security prison - one of the toughest in Texas. Trials came from all directions, and there was plenty of opposition, yet through it all, God proved Himself faithful. Manuel shares how God continued to demonstrate his life-changing love in a truly dark environment. However, there was an entirely different challenge awaiting - what would it be like to live a Christ-centered life from OUTSIDE the prison walls? As odd as it may seem, life outside prison gave Manuel some serious challenges as well. Nevertheless, Manuel remained focused on God's love and His will. Listen in as he shares that if Jesus has truly made you free, then you are free indeed. Manuel, and many others like him, are living proof.

Light in the Darkness
Manuel Rivas first accepted Jesus on the day he was sentenced to maximum security prison. Yes, you read that right. He received Jesus as Lord, and then immediately began his sentence in one of the toughest prisons in Texas. But it was that dark environment that God used to teach Manuel how to live life fully, to appreciate even the smallest blessings, and most importantly, how to love. Find out how God transformed a former drug dealer into a vessel of honor full of God's light and love. This is part 2 of 3 of Manuel's amazing testimony. You will NOT regret hearing this.

Changed in an Instant
He had it all. Money. Respect. Power. And yet, his life felt completely empty. He knew there had to be something more than what he had, but where would he turn to find it? Manuel Rivas found the answer to that question in a really strange place on what was, at that point, the worst day of his life. But when God answered the desperate prayer of this truly lost soul, the result was life-altering - and the aftershocks keep coming to this day.
Enjoy part 1 of Manuel's testimony as he shares how God revealed Himself to a man about to lose it all - and yet truly discover how to live.

Wimps, Whiners, and Weirdoes: ACDE
The Bible is full of amazing stories about extraordinary people... or is it? Is it possible that the people we read about in the Bible were, in many ways, just normal people like you and me? Did they have shortcomings? Did they have flaws? Probably so. When you're reading about faith heroes like Moses, Gideon, and Paul the Apostle, remember that each of these truly incredible people of faith were HUMAN, just like you. Their agreement with God and His plan was what truly set them apart, and even then, God had some work to do in order to put His glory on display through them.
It's the same for us. Living out the incredible faith adventure God has planned for you boils down to this: 1. Agree with His word. 2. Surrender to His plan. 3. Act accordingly. Faith requires that we work it out! But when we do that, God fills in the blanks and truly incredible things can happen. Could it be that the next person God intends to accomplish miraculous manifestations of His glory is the one looking back at you from your mirror? That may very well be the case, and that's what this episode explores.
Average Is Not in God's Vocabulary
God knows how to speak to you. God knows what fires you up, what passions ignite your enthusiasm, and what great adventures you dream of when you think nobody notices. He notices, and He meant for you to pursue what He put inside you. In this episode, you'll hear more from the book, Average Christians Don't Exist and be encouraged to know that God not only sees you, He DELIGHTS in speaking to you. He pursues you with more passion than you can imagine. He draws your spiritual gifts out in ways only He can. And if you think you don't have spiritual gifts, think again. God didn't design anyone to be merely passable. In God's eyes, you're a walking, talking adventure waiting to happen, and the Creator of the universe is ready to unlock the destiny He put inside you.

There's No Such Thing as an Average Christian - ACDE part 4
God didn't create a single person to be average and unremarkable. That's truth! It's also the topic of my book by the same title. This episode offers an excerpt from the book and encouragement for all believers to pursue their amazing destiny with the God who gave it to them. https://gardenpublishingco.com/product/average-christians-dont-exist-encouragement-for-believers/

Kingdom Buckers - ACDE part 3
They say God works in mysterious ways. Maybe He works in interesting places, too. Here's an interesting question: Can God change lives outside the church walls? Could He put His love on display at, say, a rodeo, for example? Yep! Brint Harmon is living proof that God can work anywhere, any time, no matter what you're doing... or what environment you happen to find yourself in. He ministers to BULL RIDERS right in the midst of their super intense competition. More importantly, Brint represents the heart of a loving Savior to men who are as close to literally fearless as you can get. Listen in to see how God uses Brint (and how He could use you) right smack in the middle of your passions or interests.
Merry Christmas 2020
Christmas wishes and blessings from my heart to yours. There's a lot going on right now that is undeniably bad, yet there is so much to be thankful for. God is the God of HOPE, so this Christmas, let's be people who HOPE outrageously, love unstoppably, and bless others with our lives. Merry Christmas to you and yours.
Let God Use What He Put Inside You - ACDE Part 2
Building upon the last episode, "You're Not JUST Anything," this podcast encourages believers in Jesus Christ to open their eyes up to see just how uniquely created and gracefully gifted they are. God gave you spiritual gifts, deep desires, and special talents, all with the express intent that you put His glory on display. Yet, a lot of people discount what God created inside them, and their gifts lay dormant. NO MORE! It's time to put your gifts, talents, and passions to work, and at the same time, advance God's kingdom.
In this episode, Kevin McSpadden interviews up and coming musician, photographer, and all-around good guy, COLEBIN GRIFFITH. In case you're wondering, Colebin is the guy behind the music in the Victorious Liberty Podcast, and he shares how he has learned to honor what God gave him. Listen in as Colebin and Kevin encourage every believer to see just how special they are and just how powerful they can be - all while doing the very things that light them up!
You're Not JUST Anything - ACDE Part 1
A lot of believers struggle to believe that God would use them to accomplish amazing things. We compare ourselves to others, we discount our effectiveness in the Kingdom, and we get discouraged, thinking, "I'm just an average Christian." But that's not what God sees when He looks at you. God never made a single person and thought, "I'll just make this one pretty average and boring." Every person is hand-crafted with unique and powerful purposes only God knows - but we have the joy and honor to discover what He dreamt of when He created us.
This episode is the premier of a series called "Average Christians Don't Exist." If you struggle to see yourself through God's eyes... If you want to discover more about your purpose on this earth... If you feel like you're not making a difference... If you just want to open yourself up to the possibility of a grand adventure with your Creator... THIS SERIES IS FOR YOU. Find out in this episode why you should never say about yourself, "I'm JUST (insert whatever you are here)." Instead, you should say, "I'm ready for what God has for me today."
Gospel of the Kingdom Part 9 - The Whole Picture
This episode summarizes our series on the Gospel. Why take so many episodes to go through something so basic? Because it's that important. This episode gives listeners a quick overview of the territory we've covered along the way, as well as an encouragement to LET THE GOSPEL CHANGE YOU! This is good news for anyone who listens. The Kingdom of Heaven is at hand. Lets live in that truth!

Gospel of the Kingdom Part 8 - Baptized in the Holy Spirit
What can take a fisherman and transform him into a man on fire? What can remove the scales from a Pharisee's eyes (and heart) and make him perhaps the greatest evangelist the world has ever known? What can empower the so-called "average" believer to go perform signs, miracles, and wonders? The answer: HOLY SPIRIT!
This episode builds on the Gospel of the Kingdom series by focusing on being baptized in the Holy Spirit. When you get water baptized, you emerge from the water soaking wet, dripping on anyone who gets near you. Well what if it's like that in the spirit, too? What if it's possible to get completely immersed into the Holy Spirit to the point that you drip His glory on anyone who gets near you? And even better, what if you can do that again, and again, and again? Listen in to see how Jesus makes it possible to radiate His glory by being baptized in the Holy Spirit and power.

Gospel of the Kingdom, Part 7 - Holy Spirit
This episode is an introduction to the Holy Spirit - Who He is, how He moves, and what He does to empower believers in Jesus to live out the destiny God intended for them. The discussion lays out some basic principles about spiritual gifts and gives a foundational understanding to the One Jesus called our Helper, the Spirit of Truth. He's the most humble and most powerful teacher you've ever known, and He knows exactly how to reveal Jesus TO you, IN you, and THROUGH you.

Gospel of the Kingdom, Part 6: There is MORE!
What exactly did Jesus accomplish for US when He gave His life on the cross and rose again? Why was it such a big deal to the Father for you and I to know Jesus and to receive all He did for us? If you don't know the answers, there's good news! Jesus's death and resurrection were amazing displays of God's love and power in and of themselves, but God had much more in mind than simply allowing His son to die and raising Him up again. What Jesus did has ramifications for your life, right this second, and if you don't know what those ramifications are, you're missing out! Listen in to see why trusting Jesus with your life can transform you into a powerhouse who lives in and for God's glory.

Gospel of the Kingdom, Part 5: Behold the Lamb!
Jesus changes everything. He changed history. He changed how people understood Who God is. When Jesus entered the picture, the world changed, and it has never been the same. Jesus is still in the change-making business - He invites all people to experience a love that totally alters how you think, how you live, and how you relate to your Creator and Father. Whats more: He paid the highest price ever paid so that we could receive His life-changing love. Jesus's time on the earth was arguably the main event of all eternity, and it will go on having an impact FOR all eternity.
This episode is a snapshot of the life of Jesus - how He lived, what He did, and what He revealed about God the Father. God's ways, God's love, and God's kingdom, all represented in living color by the life of the beautiful Lamb of God.

The Gospel of the Kingdom, Part 4: King and Priest (Prophecy Continued)
This episode builds on last week's episode about prophecy. Jesus fulfilled what was written of Him in ways that were so specific only God could have done it! This episode hones in on Jesus as the coming Son of Man, a savior who would be not only a priest, but a king whose kingdom would never end. God said it, and He surely brought it to pass.

The Gospel of the Kingdom, Part 3: Help is On the Way!
Old Testament prophecies revealed the coming Messiah, the king and savior who would rescue the world. But they weren't just vague predictions - they were extremely specific, and Jesus fulfilled them to the letter. This episode gives a snapshot of how prophecy revealed a Messiah who was so different from what His people were looking for, and yet so perfect in His fulfillment of what was written of Him.
Prophecy is one more way God has revealed Himself to the world - if He says it, you can COUNT on it!

The Gospel of the Kingdom, Part 2: The Law
Did you know that the Old Testament Law was much more than a list of rules? The Law was one of the ways God pointed toward the coming of His Son, Jesus. Not only that, but the Law revealed God's unchanging love, and it provided a way for Him to put His glory on display through those who believe Him. This episode will get you started with understanding the heart behind the Law.

The Gospel of the Kingdom, Part 1: Look How Far We Fell
This episode begins a series exploring the essential basics of being a disciple by focusing on what is at the heart of following Jesus - the Gospel. We go all the way back to the beginning to see Adam and Eve as much more than just the ones who fell. Believe it or not, our first ancestors were genuinely blessed, had an amazing call, and walked in the very glory of God. To better understand what Jesus did at the cross and why He had to do it, you have to start at the Garden of Eden. Join in and be inspired as you explore the GOOD NEWS of Jesus from the time it began.

Let's Be Disciples Together
The FIRST EPISODE of the Victorious Liberty podcast. This explains the heart of the podcast, why it is named the way it is, and why I believe God called you to a life characterized by freedom and victory. If you want to be encouraged and strengthened in your faith, this is a great opportunity to walk with someone (albeit digitally) who wants that very thing himself. If you're new to faith in Jesus, wanting to explore topics related to growing in faith, or simply looking for some encouragement to help you carry on, you're in the right place. Here are the goals: 1. Be real. 2. Be uplifting. 3. Provide positive, Bible-based messages. 4. Draw people (including myself) into a deeper, more rewarding, more meaningful relationship with Jesus.
Sound good? Then come give it a listen!
