Shaylie Ahlgren of Winnett tells about Montana’s newest FFA Chapter!

Last year five students from Winnett High School convinced their School Board to let them start the school’s first ever Ag Ed program and FFA Chapter.  Now with an on-line curriculum, and a community volunteer Advisor, they are already studying and competing in FFA contests.

Now, to raise money for travel and competition fees, the new Winnett FFA chapter is holding a special “Gun Raffle” Fundraiser!

The students are selling chances to win a Custom-Made 7mm PRC...“Dead Down Range” rifle, donated by Trophy Ranches!

Only 125 tickets will be sold...for $100 each...for a chance at a rifle valued at $6,500.!

Contact FFA Chapter President Shayley Algren, at 406-561-1035, and please join KGHL in supporting the brand-new FFA Chapter in Winnett!

Level Up Yellowstone – helping local youth connect to communities that care with Alli Kieckbusch of Riverstone Health

Youth in Yellowstone County are facing a lot of challenges today, including substance misuse, mental health struggles and feeling disconnected from their community.

To address this issue, RiverStone Health has launched “Level Up Yellowstone” is a new initiative that focuses on building a healthier future for youth in our community.

In Taylor Brown’s interview with Alli Kieckbusch, Prevention Health Specialist at Riverstone Health, we hear that other communities have seen some exciting success after implementing this initiative; including a 33% decrease in tobacco use, 32% decrease in alcohol use, and a 25% decrease in delinquent behavior among youth.

For more information about the new “Level Up Yellowstone” program, Alli Kieckbusch can be reached at Riverstone Health at 406-651-3305.
