“Even a man who says his prayers before he sleeps each night, may turn to a wolf when the wolf’s bane blooms and the moon is high and bright.”

Miss Carolyn reluctantly takes her nephew Theodore trick-or-treating during a full moon.

“The Haunted Halloween Hootenanny” first aired  Oct. 28, 1982

This episode chronicles one of several ghastly holiday parties that sprang up in the home of the hostess, Miss Carolyn. It seems that the Good Ghost can't help himself when throwing Halloween parties for his ghoulish guests. The lineup of terrific Halloween songs for this party is unforgettable. Listeners were challenged to write the ingredients they would add to a witch's brew, which employees judged, and the winner had his lyrical additives dropped into the song "Witch's Brew" sung at the end of this show. A local boy named Jonathan Kocan snared some prizes for winning the song lyrics contest.

“Name that Trick-or-Treat Tune” first aired  Oct. 23, 1982

In this game-show parody, Miss Carolyn is lucky enough to appear as a contestant on “Name That Trick-or-Treat Tune.” This particular game show has rules and prizes that reflect the Halloween spirit. She has to compete against another contestant named Ray Cumberbund, who is quite intent on winning, but that has twists and consequences. The MC, Leo Gumbo, who looks strangely like a famous figure of satire and parody, takes macabre pleasure in his job.

“The Changing of Proteus” first aired  Sept. 18, 1982

The K.I.D.S radio show is at risk of being eaten by the Queen of Riddles if Miss Carolyn doesn’t correctly guess the Queen’s real name. A shape-shifting creature joins her in a trek across the jungle to find the correct answer and save her show.

“I’d Rather Fly” first aired Sept. 29, 1984.

Miss Carolyn and The African Gnu hop aboard an airplane hoping to arrive in beautiful Hawaii. Things go awry when little creatures are spotted outside on the plane’s wings, and the plane’s lavatory goes missing. Fans of The Twilight Zone will be amused by the reference to a famous episode starring William Shatner.

“A Day at the Lake” first aired July 25, 1992.

Loosely based on a "truthy" story of what happened to Kel, Carolyn, and Carolyn's mother at a lake in Oklahoma in the late 1980s. This episode also parodied the late 1970s film "Deliverance."

In search of a place to put in his sailboat, The Giant Blueberry gets friendly with the locals to get directions to the lake. Theodore and his aunt Miss Carolyn aren't so sure about the Blueberry's diminutive sailboat. Will they survive a storm on the seas and the new friend Jimbo?
