Patrick Carney, the Artiste, is an indomitable spirit who has shared his creative talent with the world in ways that are sometimes beyond measure. Today at the age of 77 she is a natural body fitness competitor winning multiple gold and silver medals in bikini, swimsuit and sports model categories in international competitions since 2017.She became a health coach and fitness trainer and coaching women over 55 both online and in person. She also enjoys providing keynote speeches on wellness and longevity and working with executives and their teams to foster healthy lifestyle habits to enhance their health and improve productivity. She is the best example of her own philosophy which is we can get stronger with age. She believes adults, especially women over 55, should not expect to be frail and dependent as the decades advance. Her journey began at age 69 when she found herself aging typically, slowing down gaining weight and feeling the decline she was experiencing was inevitable. She was never an athlete, in fact the last picked for any sports team as a child and barely passing the PE requirement in college. In her 50s she tried everything from prepacked diet foods to exercise programs she could never sustain. Turning 69 she determined 70 was not going to go well. She took the advice of her financial consultant and turned to a bodybuilding pro expecting to solve all her weight issues in the 36 sessions he required to start working with him. She believed that she might gain hulk style muscles, which of course is ridiculous, and he told her so. Completing the 36 sessions taught her disciple and provided accountability and she saw that in that short amount of time she could gain strength. She needed the critical component to strength training which is nutrition and found the Health Coach Institute. She became a health coach and from there her journey continued to flourish. Now it is her mission to help others who wish to age well.

Luz Wright was born in Bogota, Colombia. Her parents had a passion for nature and traveling. Since her early childhood she has enjoyed being surrounded by our natural world. Luz’s family used to spend long weekends and School holydays in the Easter Plans of Colombia, a place without electricity and running water. There she found a profound connection with silence and small creatures that came out of their hidden places as the sun sets down…From Bogota her family moved to Barranquilla, a city in the Atlantic Coast where they spend their free time at the beach house, at that time the milky way was visible from the front of the house. From Barranquilla Luz moved to Paris with her first husband and traveled to Senegal, India, Bolivia, and all over France. During her traveling she met people who crossed Europe working on farms. Luz left Paris with her backpack in search of farms and became a seasonal worker in Europe. She met her second husband, in Southern France. Luz was up on a tree picking up plums when he came by. He joined her venture and they both worked in farms and hitchhiked from Paris to Greece. Luz came to the USA married him and Alyosha her daughter was born. In Connecticut Luz obtained her BA with emphasis on Bilingual Education. She moved with her daughter to Atlanta. Luz has met in Atlanta a very divers and supportive community from different backgrounds, ethnicities, cultures, and spiritual expressions. Stephen Wing was a missionary kid, and who grew up overseas. Re-entry to the States as an adolescent was rough, but a summer camp experience canoeing in the Canadian wilderness got him through it. Those trips every summer became his sanctuary, and the wilderness is still his spiritual center wherever he is. In college Stephen discovered hitchhiking and graduated without a plan in his head except to travel the country. He majored in writing but became a poet when he realized he could write about things that actually meant something to him -- which at that point was hitchhiking -- rather than as a kind of intellectual game. Letting go of destinations and deadlines, Stephen found that life has its own innate intelligence and would teach him what he needed to know if he released the need for control. After 12 years on the road, Stephen met his wife, Dawn, and settled in Atlanta. He worked as an editor and recycler, got involved in political activism, organized interfaith gatherings to celebrate the equinoxes and solstices, and eventually started leading seasonal workshops for poets, each time in a different nature preserve or greenspace around the city. Dr. David Alfery began a thirty-six-year career as an Anesthesiologist in Nashville, Tennessee in 1980. He has served as a Chief of Anesthesia, President of the Tennessee State Society of Anesthesiologists, and was a founding member of Anesthesia Medical Group, one of the largest anesthesia practices in the United States. For twenty years he served as an Oral Examiner for the American Board of Anesthesiology, ending his tenure as a Senior Examiner. He holds an academic appointment at Vanderbilt University Medical Center as Adjunct Associate Professor of Anesthesiology. While in practice, he participated in numerous medical missions with Operation Smile. Dr. Alfery has authored ten chapters in medical textbooks and 41 peer reviewed articles in anesthesia medical journals. He has invented several anesthesia devices that are sold worldwide and for which he has been awarded 17 US and International patents. He has been married to his medical school sweetheart, Joyce, for over forty- five years, and together they have produced three daughters and five (and counting) grandchildren. His newest book, Saving Grace, What Patients Teach Their Doctors About Life, Death, and the Balance in Between, was released this year.
