Wow! Okay this is turn from our usual! Lorena and I are packed max with school and work and managing our lives so for this episode we decided to take a turn! We've always been so interested in true crime and there were nights where we would stay up until all hours of the night watching 'Forensic Files'! Now this episode is all about the murder of Kim Sung-Jae! The night he made his debut as a soloist he died under mysterious circumstances! Give this episode a listen and listen to what happened to Kim Sung-Jae who was taken from the world at the age of 23. He was an incredible talent and had such a huge respect for music and he is a major influence to Kpop today.

Hey look at this a new episode! This time we are talking about the Co-ed group KARD! First these guys are freaking BOMB!! In this episode we will be going over some general information of each member and guessing their positions, and being amazing by their talent! Member J-Seph will be enlisted in the Army soon so best of luck to him and we hope he stays safe and healthy while he is away! KARD has quickly taken over the western part of the world and they are making their way to be just as big in Korea! Their ever changing styles shows how impressive they are and their dynamic as a group is something that is awe inspiring! Next week will be Part 2 of KARD where we go over favorites and if KARD has their first win yet (Spoiler Alert: Not yet and that is mind blowing) Don't forget to tune in and listen!

BTS’s hoobae ( junior) group is making a name for itself very fast with great quality music and performances. In this episode we discuss some serious topics such as depression, anxiety, etc. Despite the fact that some of the things we’ll be talking about are sad, we enjoyed recording this episode, and we hope you enjoy listening to it as well. Hello! Another saturday, another episode of Kpop tea! This is the second part of our Oneus series. Finally we get to our favorite part. Oneus has some of the best vocalists and rappers in a rookie group, by just hearing one song you’ll be able to hear that. We’ll tell you which songs stood out to us in their growing catalog. They’re hard at work despite how new they are and have had multiple comebacks for us to all enjoy. Fortunately for us the fact that they are so new also means they have yet to face much controversy in their career, so you don’t have to hear anything negative this time around! Welcome! For the next few weeks we’ll be talking about some up and coming rookie groups! This week we go over RBW’s newest male group Oneus. While they debuted just over a year ago Oneus is already gaining a strong and passionate fan base. Of course, once your hear their music you’ll know why. As always, we’ll start off the series with an introduction to the group’s members. These boys are some interesting characters; learning some of their talents, interests, and quirks will only make you want to know more! To satisfy your newfound curiosity for Oneus we’ll be back next week with part two, stay tuned!

Well, well, well, fancy seeing you on a Wednesday. Unfortunately, COVID-19 has taken the world by storm and we’ve all faced interruptions in our daily routine due to stay at home orders. Our podcast has also been affected by this; but, don’t worry because we still found a way to record remotely from the comfort of our individual homes. We wanted to do something different for this episode because discussing groups is always more fun when we’re actually together. We came up with the idea of creating a list of some of our favorite covers performed by popular K-pop groups. It’s always interesting to see a group perform a style or song that isn’t their own. It gives us some of the best crossover moments in K-pop! We hope you enjoy the videos we chose. We’ve discussed some of the groups, and some are on our list of upcoming episodes, so check it out and see what’s in store for the future of the podcast!

We were lucky enough to see Blackpink at their first concert in the U.S last year; it was an amazing experience and I would do it again in a heartbeat. We truly love and respect  these girls and hope you will too. Welcome to part two of our Blackpink series! This episode was both incredibly fun and frustrating to record. Fun, because of course we give you our list of favorite Blackpink songs and music videos. As always it was hard for us to choose, and to be honest we both love all Blackpink songs, but hopefully our list will give you a good taste of their music. The frustrating part was having to address some of the unfortunate experiences the girls have had since debut. Of course, we discuss the infamous “Lazy Jennie”, as well as dating “scandals” that have surrounded the girls. However, don’t let those negative stories impact your opinion of Blackpink, they are an amazing group that deserves all the success they have had. Coincidentally, Blackpink’s next comeback was just announced! Catch up on their discography now so you can enjoy the new album in all its glory!

I’m amazed we’ve managed to hold ourselves back enough to wait until episode 10 to talk about Blackpink! As you will soon find out; Blackpink is our favorite girl group, and for good reason! These girls are talented, charismatic, sweet, beautiful, and…well the list goes on. We could talk about Blackpink for days, but we figured we should start you off easy with an introduction to the girls. Find out interesting facts about the girls’ lives before debut and their impressive career achievements. Make sure you keep an ear (?) out to learn what Blackpink represents and their fandom name in case you want to join us.

It has been nine episodes and we’re still not any better at this! But hopefully anyone who listens is enjoying our chaos. In this episode we are talking about the incredibly talented and hardworking soloist Heize. She is truly a trailblazer in the K-pop industry; despite being a musician she does not lead the life of a regular idol. That may not come as much of a surprise once you learn about the struggles she faced in order to get to where she is. If you’re looking for a K-pop artist that does not fit the mold and has a unique sound Heize is a great option. In this episode Sierra and I share our favorite Heize songs, lyrics, and music videos with you. Of course this is just a start, but hopefully this list will lead you to explore more of Heize’s work.
