Starting Line
Moving from the foundation laid in Episode 1, Kristian speaks of his humble origins in Seattle Washington, growing up with an absent father, his mother’s diagnosis of Type-1 diabetes and her eventual succumbing to the disease just a few years later, which started a sequence of knock-on effects. The first of which, being the homelessness he was thrust into at just 13 years old. Tune in as Kristian takes you through some of the challenges he faced while sleeping on the cold cement floor of a storage unit for most of high school and how you can use whatever your worst experience has been to get through the next!
The Outside Groove Introduction
You Wanna Ride On the Edge? Kristian Aleixo lived the typical life of any young boy who dreamed to one day make it to the big leagues. For Kristian, the occupational hazard of racing brought more near death experiences than his tour of Iraq. But despite the many hardships and challenges he endured to make it to the top, Kristian never fainted or shied away from the thrill of strapping himself to the wheel of a hot-rod, laced with the expectation of taking home the checkered flag. His vision of success parallels that of great racers before him, who no doubt ground out the same pattern of success and failures on their way to the top.
The Outside Groove Podcast parallels his autobiographical book The Outside Groove that details Kristian’s life from the bowels of LeHigh Valley General, where a near death accident almost claimed his life, to the war torn cities of the middle-east. Be prepared to be inspired!
