Not Looking Back
When Kristin was involved in a jet ski accident that left her friend dead and her in critical condition, doctors initially thought she wouldn’t live. Working out four hours a day, five days a week, she was able to finally move her toes. Emily Bernath is the author of the Broken Lenses devotional series and an advocate for sexual assault survivors after experiencing assault herself. Emily was able to shed her feelings of worthlessness, and disgust with her own body and realize that God saw her and her body as a temple for His holiness. That journey helped Emily to realize that God loves us unconditionally and that hope comes from knowing we can’t break that love He has for his children.

Cami Ford is the mother of a child who was diagnosed with Hodgkins Lymphoma. Hearing the words that your child has cancer has to be one of the darkest moments of your life, but Cami was able to find hope, even on the days she was afraid, when she turned the weight of her child’s diagnosis over to God and leaned on the promises of his word.
