Today it's been rough... but yet I still find a reason to praise

All the activity of the day is still swirling in my head.  I didn't want to miss out on getting an episode out because this consistency is my grind...it's in my mind and it's better late than never because it's mine.

The journey to healing and living the life I have been called to is real.  I am super excited every time I get to share it.

Praise the Lord.  Praise the Lord, you his servants; praise the name of the Lord.  Let the name of the Lord be praised, both now and forevermore.  From the rising of the sun to the place where it sets, the name of the Lord is to be praised. Such an amazing opportunity to get mentally and emotionally aligned through the word of God.  This journey has been taking me on an roller coaster of awareness.  How is it impacting you?

Last night I had an awareness it's not just about reading the Bible, going to therapy, having spiritual direction and/or healthy community - It's a spiritual situation that helps.  I transformed by having all of these work in my life.  the Bible highlighted the shifting in my being.  I was reminded that I am a spiritual being that is having an human experience.  Emotions are something that I am working on to heal myself...overwhelmed with the fullness of friendship and community.

God's word is a living breathing document that keeps reminding me that my sin keeps me distant from God's plan.  How can I shift my focus to stay in alignment with God's plan when naturally I am in a sinful lifestyle?

So many questions so many feelings but the best part is I am connecting with God.

Current big picture is relationships

1. Relationship with God
2. Relationship with self
3. Relationship with others
4. Relationship with the rest of creation

I am realizing the power of all of these...there is an order to them.  God didn't design us to be alone and there is a spiritual order to how we connect to each of them and it aligns our life with the way we show up for ourselves and others.

Please take time to journal about your experience.  Get some colored pens and paper and just take inventory of the impact thus far.  God isn't taking you on this journey just for fun.  It's a moment for intimacy.

Declaring healthy community and physical health in your life.

The Krys Grant-Ray Experience 

Father god, in the name of Jesus, I accept and believe: this is the day that the Lord has made.  I will rejoice and be glad.  The lord is my refuge and my habitation.  No evil shall befall me.  He has given his angels charge over me to keep me in all my ways. (psalm 91)

I choose to be happy and full of joy today! (Psalm 118:24)  God knows the thoughts that he has for me.  They are thoughts of peace to give me a future and a hope.  My future is bright.  My destiny is great because God has a purpose and a plan for my life.   (jeremiah 28:11)

I am fearful and wonderfully made.  (psalm 139:14)  I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.  Nothing is impossible or  too hard for me to do because I have the  power and the spirit of Christ in me. (Philippians 4:13)  The joy of the Lord is my strength.  I am happy and full of joy. (nehemiah 8:10) I am loved of my father, god. (jeremiah 31:3)

After I recorded the podcast - God kept telling me with long life I will satisfy you. I will Satisfy You. I took it personal that God will give Krys long life. Then I had to go to the Bible and search where that scripture is because I want long life to serve God I want to see my child grow and become an adult, a husband and a father. I stand on God's promise that with long life He will satisfy me.

“If Krys holds on to me for dear life,” says God,

“I’ll get Krys out of any trouble.

I’ll give Krys the best of care

if Krys only get to know and trust me.

Call me and I’ll answer, be at Krys' side in bad times;

I’ll rescue Krys, then throw Krys a party.

I’ll give Krys a long life,

give Krys a long drink of salvation!” Psalms 91:16 (MSG)

We are still in a series of using the Bible to declare things in our life.  Today we are declaring God's presence in our hearts.  From that relationship we find the path God desires for us.

“My son (Insert your name), don’t forget my teaching; but let your (Insert your name)heart keep my commandments: for they will add to you (Insert your name) length of days, years of life, and peace. Don’t let kindness and truth forsake you (Insert your name). Bind them around your (Insert your name) neck. Write them on the tablet of your (Insert your name) heart.  So you (Insert your name) will find favor, and good understanding in the sight of God and man. Trust in Yahweh with all your (Insert your name) heart, and don’t lean on your (Insert your name)own understanding.  In all your (Insert your name) ways acknowledge him, and he will make your (Insert your name) paths straight,” Proverbs 3:1-6

So find a quiet place, sit still for a moment, then try praying each line breathing in for 3 seconds, then out for 3 seconds.  Just breathe slowly and focus the words on God.

I DECLARE a legacy of faith over my life.

Many of us are facing impossible situations where we need a breakthrough in our lives. Yet, most of us sit and wait for God to make it happen, and then we wonder why it is that we don’t experience breakthrough as often or as fast as we’d like. What we need to know is that breakthrough is not something we sit around and wait for. Breakthrough is God waiting on us to respond in obedience to what He has already commanded and already promised. Breakthrough happens when we take the first step against barriers in our life. Breakthrough happens when we say that we are going to trust that God is going to supernaturally do what is impossible. God does the breakthrough, but He’s waiting for us to take that first step of faith. We have to believe in God’s goodness, that God has already willed the breakthrough for our life.  By Lesli White

Sometimes context matters when declaring God's word.  Here are different versions of the Bible and the context in what God is saying.  

Brothers, consider your calling: Not many are wise from a human perspective,[a] not many powerful, not many of noble birth. 27 Instead, God has chosen what is foolish in the world to shame the wise, and God has chosen what is weak in the world to shame the strong. 28 God has chosen what is insignificant and despised in the world—what is viewed as nothing—to bring to nothing what is viewed as something, 29 so that no one[b] can boast in His presence. 30 But it is from Him that you are in Christ Jesus, who became God-given wisdom for us—our righteousness, sanctification, and redemption, 31 in order that, as it is written: The one who boasts must boast in the Lord.[c] 1 Corinthians 1:26-31 (HCSB)

Take a good look, friends, at who you were when you got called into this life. I don’t see many of “the brightest and the best” among you, not many influential, not many from high-society families. Isn’t it obvious that God deliberately chose men and women that the culture overlooks and exploits and abuses, chose these “nobodies” to expose the hollow pretensions of the “somebodies”? That makes it quite clear that none of you can get by with blowing your own horn before God. Everything that we have—right thinking and right living, a clean slate and a fresh start—comes from God by way of Jesus Christ. That’s why we have the saying, “If you’re going to blow a horn, blow a trumpet for God.” 1 Corinthians 1:26-31 (MSG)

Brothers and sisters, think of what you were when you were called. As we declare God's word I hope that we are memorizing the scripture and personalizing it for ourself.  Build an intimate relationship with God as declare His word.  

Be sure to insert your name.

The Lord will make you the head and not the tail; you will only move upward and never downward if you listen to the Lord your God’s commands I am giving you today and are careful to follow them. Deuteronomy 28:13 (HCSB)

I Declare War - to officially decide to fight or go to war 

We need to do this with the power and authority of God through the work of Jesus Christ and the embodiment of the Holy Spirit.

Today's Declaration make it personal... input your name in the scripture.  Own it speak it out loud, say it several times today.  Let it resound in your ears.  God has so much for you today.  Hold your head up and tilt your crown.
