Meredith digs deep into the artist's work to find out how the music is made and where their journey is going, from legendary artists like Robert Plant, Paul McCartney, U2, and Bryan Ferry, to the newer class of The National, St. Vincent, Arctic Monkeys, Haim, and Father John Misty.

Sheryl Crow catches up with Kyle Meredith to talk about Sheryl, the new Showtime documentary based on her life and career.

The multi-platinum songwriter tells us why it was finally time to tell her story, the shelved album that came before her debut that sounded too much like Sting, and wanting to re-produce 1996’s Love Is a Good Thing. Crow also talks about her later career that wasn’t represented in the film, the new songs on the soundtrack which includes The Rolling Stones, and her plans to do storyteller style solo shows next year.

She also goes in depth about 2002’s C’Mon C’mon, a bright album recorded during a very dark period, and how the song “You’re an Original” is a bit of a bitter song about the pop scene of that era.

The indie rock artist — who was Consequence's February Artist of the Month — also tells of dancing golden grunions, romantic relationships with seals named May Jascis, and being addicted to licking paint. She tells us all of this from the comfort of the "Sedona of energy fields."

Gossard tells us about relearning tracks from the band's latest LP for a third time, the possibility of a Lost Dogs Pt. 2, and wanting to make looser records at a quicker pace. To that point, he confirms that, yes, Pearl Jam have started working on their next album. "We've recorded some songs. We're on our way," he says. "We're making music."

The Canadian songwriter first takes us back to the original LP and how OLP linked up with futurist Ray Kurzweil, who happens to appear on both Spiritual Machine and Spiritual Machines 2.
