The not-so-artist way of being a full-time artist.

I’ve been quiet for about a year now, but just wanted to let everyone know I’m coming back stronger than ever. My new creative director Christian will be a mainstay on the podcast and we have a bunch of guests lined up for 2020. Like, subscribe, and spread the word. 🤙🏼

In this episode I talk about how the most successful art is that which is the most real and authentic. I talk about the importance of allowing yourself to feel and experience the world around you and learning how to channel that into art whatever your medium is. I also talk about the magical trinity of art that all artists need to master.

Man this episode was truly something special. Dave and I got together and talked shop on everything from the early stages of our creative careers to now. We talk about the good, the bad, and the ugly. Things like how to overcome negative people, negative situations, building a brand, being authentic, and how to monetize off your craft.

The world needs less rock stars and more architects. Architects are the brilliant minds behind the scenes that are building with the artists. This episode I give you a few examples of contemporary and legendary architects. I also talk about what they mean to us artists and how it fits into the modern day setting of art.

The age old story of the tortoise versus the hare. Most of us are average but that doesn’t mean we don’t have something exceptional living inside of us. Approach your dreams as if you were the tortoise: steady, deliberate, methodical, and laser focused. This is a marathon, not a sprint.

In this episode I talk about the artistic revolution that is happening right now. Fuck being a broke artist and fuck the mentality that you cannot be a good business person as well as a good artist. Artist’s are the new rock stars. Lets get it!

I also talk about how to handle dream killers, small thinkers, and the awkward topic that maybe your family members are the biggest dream killers.
