We discuss our brains being mush, enjoying sabbath and then the whirlwind of being thrust into another week, how our bodies are a vehicle for worship, and one thing that makes our bodies valuable is how they are where we experience God. We hope you enjoy!

Book Club - Chapter 7: Breaking Free from Body Shame
Alyssa Pike, RDN, LD and Kylie Mitchell, MPH, RDN, LD discuss chapter 7 from Jess Connolly's book Breaking Free from Body Shame. I loved this chapter. We explore just being with God and what that looks like in our lives, how God isn't in the business of rewarding spiritual righteousness with worldly success (aka a "perfect" body), and how we don't get worship and a "perfect" body - we just get the freedom gifted to us through worship. During the episode, Alyssa mentioned the book, Invitation to Silence and Solitude by Ruth Haley Barton and I've started reading that and am finding it very helpful.
If you have any comments on the book, we'd love to hear from you. Send us a voicemail via the voicemail button here.

My favorite quote from this episode came from Alyssa: "It’s not that thin isn’t beautiful, it’s just that it’s no more beautiful than another body size. There’s so much more to beauty than body size."
