Meditation is a spiritual, mental and physical practice used to explore your own mind. A lot of people believe that it can have therapeutic effects. It also helps you maintain a greater sense of peace and calm in your life. Meditation is a practice in which an individual trains the mind or induces a mode of consciousness, either to realize some benefit or as an end in itself. There are many different kinds of meditation, but this Meditation will focus on the root chakra. This exercise will help us wake up the root chakra and feel more grounded.

The word “chakra” in Hinduism refers to a disk, wheel, or vortex. Chakras are energy spirals that collect, sort, and store all of the data about our body, emotions, thoughts, and life experiences; they store and process physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual information. If the concept of chakras is unfamiliar to you, this podcast explains how they represent who we are. The chakras are a part of what is known as the “subtle body” (‘subtle’ refers to something that is not visible but can be felt). Your aura, nādī or meridians, and chakras are all part of your subtle body.
