The podcast series is part of the wider London Metropolitan University funded research project which looked at LGBTQI+ experiences of lockdown within London Borough of Lambeth through a trailblazing method called Photovoice, a survey, a focus group and telephone interviews. The final outcome of the research was a Photographic Exhibition "Our Collective Voice '' which took place between October - November 2021, London Metropolitan University, Aldgate Campus.

Donna Jones and Co-Researchers, Nicole and Ahmad, talk about how culture and place of origin shape experiences of being part of the LGBTQI+ community in the UK. This episode explores the sense of belonging, discussing how cross-cutting identities - identifying as queer, immigrant and person of colour - impacts on negotiating overwhelmingly white queer spaces.

There is evidence that LBGTQI+ people from Black, Asian and/or other minoritised communities experience greater challenges to their mental health. In this episode, Donna Jones and Co-Researcher Sonny discuss experiences of anxiety and low self-esteem during lockdown.
