Landscape Lullabies

In this episode we find ourselves near the North Pole during the weeks that the northern lights are at their most magnificent peak.  There are polar animals, hot cocoa, a fire that smokes and lots of night magic.  Bundle up, get warm and cozy in bed and join me in this very special place on earth.

In this soft spoken sleep episode I visit a secluded Japanese inspired water garden and teahouse monastery.  A kind monk is my host serving tea and another tending to a rock garden.  Koi fish, striking colors of nature and the sounds that bring the mind back to calm define this beautiful garden.  There are rocky waterfalls and as always, animal friends found in their natural habitats. This magical place is a gentle environment that encourages reflection and meditation.

In this soft spoken sleep story episode I find myself unexpectedly caught in the rain one night.   I take refuge in a charming dimly lit coffee shop.  The soft music, fairy lights, and baked goods perfuming the air all offer a safe haven from the thunderstorm.

In this soft spoken bedtime story I visit family at their summer stuga  (a country cottage commonly owned by Swedes to spend summers in)  in Sweden along with a dog called Birger.  We take a boat into the enchanted forest to find mushrooms and lingonberries - and some forest friends.   The food I prepare with the delights we harvest will be one of the October kitchen lullaby episodes.

In this bedtime story episode I visit a couple's home in Italy. The man is known for "precision pizza" and I find out what that is in the outdoor kitchen on their lush property. Generous good natured hosts have made this visit truly heart warming.  This episode is a mix of food and travel.  It is hard to separate them!

For many of you fall is your favorite time of year. In this episode I go leaf peeping in Vermont and enjoy the sights and flavors of the season while staying in a charming bed and breakfast.  The beautiful and delicious kind of weekends movies and postcards are made of. In this sleep story I volunteer at a vineyard during harvest season.  A group of us take in the beauty of the farm, enjoy stories, a gourmet meal and make new friends in the process of harvesting pinot noir grapes.  A great episode for food and wine lovers.
