My first video episode. This digs into women truckers. Women truckers have longer been a part of the trucking scene than we know. This article and episode explores their contributions.

Railroads were America’s first freight corridors and they linked the ports to the canals while feeding into the network of transportation that built out our country from shore to shore. This episode digs into how America rewards their idols incarnate for all of their hard work by discussing the legendary figure known as John Henry. It would do it an injustice to write a formal article about it, so you get only the oral tradition transcribed. Enjoy

This episode digs into the time of teamsters, refrigerated trucking and mass transportation of goods. It was a time when trucking was on the cutting edge, one of the best jobs a guy could have. These truckers were in the golden age.

As I remember an oldtimer from my childhood, it helps describe what things were like in the early days of motor transport growth and technological development. (Also, this was an edit from the October Episode because the sound/background sound needed tweaking)

We expand on what kinds of heavy haul trucks were used in the 19th century and move into the 20th century. This will set us up to discuss the development of heavy trucks leading up to the next millennium. 

What events and environment led to the place where modern trucking is today? This episode paints the picture of what the country was like at the turn of the 20th century when automobiles and vehicles of all sorts began to be used. This episode tells the story of the first road trip and eventually the first truck convoy to cross America.

The Philadelphia to Lancaster Turnpike gives us insight into America's first truckers. Can you imagine what it must've been like to haul freight back then? I cover alotta information about the roads here but also discuss these things in the context of trucking.
