Interview Corner: Alycia Wells
In this week's episode, we interview mindset coach Alycia Wells, also know as @alyciawells_apluswellness for those familiar with her Instagram. This weeks episode really goes all in to why mindset is so critical as the foundation of any health and wellness journey. If you don't know why you want to get healthy- or have no idea how to tap into your body and your feelings anything you may do for "heal" will come more from a place of obligation rather than a true desire for health. We also talk a bit about the conventional medicine system- and 'the medication train". Alycia is a conscious coach who understands this principle- in order for any individual to give up the health-sabotaging behaviors- for good- you need to be in tune with the mind so you can truly work to heal your body.  To work with Alycia contact her on social for all her current program offers: @alyciawells_apluswellness  The NEXT Conscious Coaching Course for Health and Wellness Professional begins JUNE 2019. Book Corner: Braving The Wilderness
In this week's episode, we have book corner: Brave the Wilderness. This is by one of our favorite authors Brene Brown.  From the book cover: “True belonging doesn’t require us to change who we are. It requires us to be who we are.” Social scientist Brené Brown, PhD, LMSW, has sparked a global conversation about the experiences that bring meaning to our lives—experiences of courage, vulnerability, love, belonging, shame, and empathy. In Braving the Wilderness, Brown redefines what it means to truly belong in an age of increased polarization. With her trademark mix of research, storytelling, and honesty, Brown will again change the cultural conversation while mapping a clear path to true belonging. Brown argues that we’re experiencing a spiritual crisis of disconnection, and introduces four practices of true belonging that challenge everything we believe about ourselves and each other. She writes, “True belonging requires us to believe in and belong to ourselves so fully that we can find sacredness both in being a part of something and in standing alone when necessary. But in a culture that’s rife with perfectionism and pleasing, and with the erosion of civility, it’s easy to stay quiet, hide in our ideological bunkers, or fit in rather than show up as our true selves and brave the wilderness of uncertainty and criticism. But true belonging is not something we negotiate or accomplish with others; it’s a daily practice that demands integrity and authenticity. It’s a personal commitment that we carry in our hearts.” Brown offers us the clarity and courage we need to find our way back to ourselves and to each other. And that path cuts right through the wilderness. Brown writes, “The wilderness is an untamed, unpredictable place of solitude and searching. It is a place as dangerous as it is breathtaking, a place as sought after as it is feared. But it turns out to be the place of true belonging, and it’s the bravest and most sacred place you will ever stand.” This is a must read. Especially for those who have ever suffered the feeling of "other" Buy the Book: Braving the Wilderness The Quest for True Belonging and the Courage to Stand Alone by Brené Brown  (Author) https://www.amazon.com/Braving-Wilderness-Quest-Belonging-Courage/dp/0812995848 The NEXT Conscious Coaching Course for Health and Wellness Professional begins MAY 2019 for more info click here: https://consciouscoaching.mykajabi.com/   To get in touch with Lauren   Lauren Bentley on Facebook or   @gvhealthandwellness on Instagram   http://gvhealthandwellness.net   To get in touch with Jillian   Jillian Rooney on Facebook or   @psychefitnow on Instagram   https://www.psychefitnow.com/

Interview Corner: Jasmin Steiner
In this week's episode, we interview fellow coach and trainer Jasmin Steiner, also know as @marriedmomandmantras for those familiar with her Instagram. This weeks episode is going to really hit home for all our mamas, soon-to-be mamas, and want-to-one-day be mamas out there. Jasmin was faced with learning to love and embrace her post-partum body, in the fitness world. Where clean cut abs, no saggy skin or stretch marks are the norm. Yet, as many of us have silently struggled with that fact the we do not bounce back like that. Our bodies birthed babies, and it shows. It can be a difficult time to come to peace with your new body. To feel like you lost your sex appeal, womanhood. Yet this is so not the case,  and body acceptance is possible. Jasmin talks about how she get critiqued for her body- and how some people even remark how brave she is. In her mind that is mind boggling, because its so common among mothers.  Her journey is truly an inspiring one, and the mission of self love she shares is a beautiful.  Listen and enjoy! If anything from this interview strikes a chord with you- screen shot the episode, share and tag us! We want to hear from you! Divine Masculine & Feminine Energies
"I am way too in my masculine" says the person weighed down by their own rigid structure "I am way too in my feminine" says the soul who feels passionate and creative and no idea where to go with it. Yet often when we hear these statements with the undertone that is one energy is a preferred source to the opposing energy, Yet, as is often the case- it's all about balance. You don't want to be over operating under one of the energies- because yes you will feel out of alignment. Yet the concept and principles, even the names and adjectives we assign these two energies is misunderstood and mis-communicated.  We do our best to break it down in a practical way- and how you may uncover your own beliefs towards these energies. Its not like one is right and one is wrong. They are equally important to each-other, and its more about how these energies interact with each-other that has more of an influence on how well they are circulating in your field.  Listen and enjoy! Have To's of Spirituality
In this week's episode we start with the topic of alcohol and spirituality. Can one truly remain in their "high" vibe state when consuming liberations? The answer: yes and no. For some abstinence will be necessary, for others it may not be. That is all good. The spiritual world is designed to give you the insights and clues into your best way of living and being. Nobody else's. You determine what is right and feels good for you, and commit to that. This isn't about what some spiritual teacher is doing on the top of a mountain. This is what your doing day in and day our to show up as your best self, and not compromising that. There are no how-to's or have-to's in this place. It's a journey where you can set the pace, set the sail and enjoy it in whichever way feels right for you. And so it is. Enjoy! If you haven't already, join our mailing list. Interview Corner: Emily Abbott
Please excuse the minor technical difficulties in the audio  of this interview. Emily is currently living the dream over in Hawaii, and also under an air traffic, which can mess with internet and cell phone reception. We tried out best- and look at that! There is still so much gold to be found in this interview. Emily's story is really an incredible one. She is a three-time CrossFit Games veteran, and collegiate althlete. She was a fit and active child, which naturally followed her into adulthood. She didn't need think about how her mindset, and lack of intuition had her reaching for things she never really wanted in her life. How she woke up in a "dream" life- and began question it all.  After a difficult accusation-  using performance enhancing drugs, and getting kicked out of the games, Emily did some internal digging work. This was a deviating and challenging time for Emily. She found herself questioning the world she was in. Sure she was able to travel the world, compete in elite games, meet some of the biggest names in the industry. Yet she questioned this image driven community and began to wonder- is there something deeper? Through her own journey inward and onward- she found out (as we all have the potential to find)- that oh yes, there is so much more.  This year she has launched her very own Psyche Dedelic Gypsy Fitness which emboides courageous self love, reconnecting with our wild spirits.  How to learn to be at peace with yourself. A program for the mind- body- and spirit.  Lets transcend the fitness community to level high than ever imaged. Emily is also running an adventure fitness trip from April 4-9th in Mexico.  Check out for all her latest updates @abbott.the.red This month,  have a special calendar you can download so you can begin tracking your flow/the moon.  Join the email list, or reach out to Lauren or Jillian to schedule your free discovery call today. Self Love & Mirror Work
Alright alright alright. Self love. Can we shut up about it already? Blah blah blah love yourself; we get it. Really though? Really? We're touching on the cliche topic of self love, because yes it's still important. And it really can't be faked. You need to internalize that self love train so deep so that no direction change can throw your steam engine off course. When you love yourself so fully and deeply that you know in the end, you are ultimatey guided and connected to something so much deeper and bigger than just you, your body, your life, surroundings. When you can go to bed every night with a sense of comfort and calm in your mind because you know you are doing your part to keep your side of the street clean.  Because you know what you're doing is guided by the love you feel for yourself, which flows effortlessly and abundantly to all those around you. That's the kinda self love train we are all about here in the CC Community.  If you haven't already, join our mailing list. Following Your Menstrual Cycle
Tracking Your Cyclical Flow In this episode we breakdown what it means to track your cycle. How this can be a ticket to the highway of inner guidance. How you can tune into yourself, and allow yourself space to be comfortable through all phases of your cycle. And if your a-cyclical or have an atypical cycle, you can always follow the moon. Notice what it is your body is trying to tell you. Our periods were once our hidden source of power and magic. The red tents. We knew our flow offered us insights into our own inner world. We were taught this when we came of age, and we bleed together with our mother, sisters, aunts, and peers. Flash forward to modern times and the period-flow-blood has  been censored from our existence.  Even seeing images of blood on panties provokes thoughts of disgust or unease for many.  Not anymore. Stop "shoulding" All Over Yourself!
Stop "shoulding" All Over Yourself! You know shoulding yourself... Doing one thing and then saying "I should be doing this" or that constant nagging feeling like you are not doing enough. Like everyone else has it more together than you do. Like a body shape is something you should be doing. This is permission to yourself to let go of all those "shoulds". Emotional Eating
Emotional eating gets such a bad rap sometimes doesn't it? As if we could completely control emotional eating? And should be controlling it. As Lauren mentions- food is emotional. If you expect a life where zero emotional eating takes places, then your gonna have a bad time. You are setting yourself up to some unrealistic expectations, which leads to feelings of guilt, shame and all those feelings that keep you stuck in an unhealthy relationship with food. The truth is, no matter how focused and disciplined you are with your fitness and food routine, at some point you will "use" food in a way other than for pure nutrition and fuel. Sometimes you're just going to want the extra cake. Sometimes your going to eat so much pasta your tummy hurts. These are not faults of yours that need to be banished- this is life! Sometimes in life, when we enjoy something, it can lead to over consumption. And that is totally cool. We shouldn't try to banish this, just embrace it when we truly need it. That's where your intuition powers need to come in handy. When you are using it too frequently, and it's compromising your health, that a situation that may warrant some extra help. If it's used from time to time, and you acknowledge why it is you're using food to help you feel better- that's the intuitive eating difference.  So join us, as we dive right into it! Please leave a heart felt comment so we can connect and hear from you! If you have any questions or comments, we're happy to hear and discuss those on air so you can have a voice in the conversation as well. Marketing Secrets- What They Don't Want You to Know
In this episode we break down what "marketing" really means. And whehter you've realized it or not, bodies, women's bodies in particular are very marketed to. The health, wellness, and beauty industry rely on our self-doubt and unworthiness to keep turning to products that will "keep us desirable". Those who know our coaching style, know we're about to call BS on all of that nonsense.  We'll share some tips on how to navigate information overload- and how to tune out what isn't important. Remember at the end of the day, a body is just a body. The media sells it like a woman's body is one of the biggest sources of her self worth. That's simply not true, and we're sick of feeding into that.  So join us, as we dive right into it! Please leave a heart felt comment so we can connect and hear from you! If you have any questions or comments, we're happy to hear and discuss those on air so you can have a voice in the conversation as well. New Year’s Intentions
In this episode we go over what New Year’s intentions are and how they are different from New Year’s resolutions. Most resolutions fail by February. As our listeners we know you desire more and are going after more then some half hearted resolutions that will leave you feeling less than if you don’t achieve them. In this episode we will give you our advice on setting intentions & feelings you would like to place an emphasis on over the coming year. Choosing feelings over over strict resolutions can often keep you going even if you’re someone who has never completed a New Year’s resolution in the past. One way many folks employ this technique is by choosing a “word” for the year. So if you chose a word, please share with us and we can help keep you moving in the right direction. The 7 Why's
Add on episode for "The Birth of Conscious Coaching". Lauren and Jillian go through the exercise called "7 Levels Deep" or "7 Levels of Why". This can help you connect, find the "roots of your why" for any thing in your life (relationship, career, major life decision). Even minor things. In this episode we are asking each other why we run our health and wellness companies.  This exercise needs to be done with another person (not just solo or in a journal). The power of your voice connects you to the meaning here. So the person will ask the first why, and each level they'll recap your answer and keep going. The first couple of "whys" are really just your head/logic and reasoning answer. As you get deeper and deeper into the why's you crack in the gooey center. This is where the emotional, soul meaning comes through. Connecting to this deep level first of all makes sure it really is that important to you. If it is, it really helps you root into your mission so you don't lose sight as obstacles arise.  To learn  more about the Conscious Coaching Course click here: https://consciouscoaching.mykajabi.com/ Lauren Bentley on Facebook or www.gvhealthandwellness.net @gvhealthandwellness on IG Jillian Rooney on Facebook or www.psychefitnow.com @psychefitnow on IG Email consciouscoachingpodcast@gmail.com and tell us why you'd like to be considered for the scholarship position.

Interview Corner with Kaise, yoga instructor and co-owner of The Art of Healing out of Carmel NY. She talks about her path, and what lead her into yoga. Former corporate, NYC lifestyle and elite event planning. What gave her the final push and how she was finally able to "let go" and just follow her soul. Life doesn't always take us on the path we expect, but it always does seem to take us on the path we need. There are lessons and seasons to life, when we can embrace that we can allow the flow to find it's way into our lives. What happens on the other end of surrender can really be beautiful. http://www.theartofhealing4all.com/ IG: @bendwithkaise https://www.gvhealthandwellness.net/ IG: @gvhealthandwellness https://www.psychefitnow.com/ IG: @psychefitnow

Femininity and Work-outs
There are endless books and instructional manuals out there on how to create the body of your dreams. How to get those washboard abs and a perfectly flawless body we see plastered all over media content. What we've come to notice as trainers, when there are too many rules it doesn't create that long term lifestyle change. When there are too many expectations on how your body should look, rather than feel after a workout people and clients can be left feeling defeated. Where is the fun in your workouts? Where is the joy? Why can't you just simply move the way you find pleasureable? And perhaps in ways that help tap into your creativity and divine spirit? Today that is the topic of conversation, so go head listen to the convo and please reach out to let us know your thoughts! Leading with Love
When you are in the health & wellness business, or really any business for that matter, it's really important that the reasons behind it are tied to love. Love is a critical element for all business endeavors, especially those where you are coaching someone in some capacity. There are people's lives you are directly influencing and if your change is just a facade it will show through to your clients. Authenticity is always key. They say fake it till you make it. We say lead with heart, be authentically you and you won't need to fake it. Book Corner: Eating in the Light of the Moon
This week we dig into one of our all time favorite books when it comes to conquering disordered eating. Or really eating in any way, other than a way that makes you feel amazing. Food is simply fuel, yet in our society it has become so much more than that. Anita Johnston, PhD is an eating psychology pioneer. This boook weaves story telling through metaphors and folklore. There is a story for every single women out there who ever felt not good enough. This book is incredibly healing and powerful. We really urge you to pick it up and read it yourself in full. Or download the audio book- it makes a great listen. At the very least hopefully something in this week's episode can help you on that path towards healing and wholeness in all aspects of your well-being. Why Mindset Matters
In this episode we talk with Shelby Kulzer, a registered dietitian and wellness coach. We learn about her journey and how her health and body literally forced her to look deep within. She had to undo years of formal training based around the concept of "calories in, calories out". Through self-discovery she learned to accept where she is, and how to ultimately trust her intuition. You need to listen all the way through because the story of her "aha" moment had our jaws wide open! Shelby Kulzer @shelby.set.free Lauren Bentley @gvhealthandwellness Jillian Rooney @psychefitnow
