This week I am reading another Katherine Applegate book, called Wishtree. In this book, the Wishtree for the first time in century's is marked with an unkind wish. Can he along with his animal friends help the community come together and welcome this new family? Will he have to break the code and actually talk to the children? We have two copies in the media center waiting for you.
I wanted to find a way to share with you the books we have in the media center. So, every Friday I will be picking a favorite or new book and sharing the first chapter with you. If you have a favorite that you think other students may enjoy, then you can also share. We will set up a time for you to record your First Chapter Fridays. I am looking forward to sharing new books with you each week.
We stood at the edge, staring into the dark woods, wondering why we thought this was a good idea. We all heard the stories of what happens at night, we all heard the noises that come from the woods. We just needed to see for ourselves. So here we are, standing shoulder to shoulder - facing the unknown. Nervously glancing at each other, we stepped into the woods.
What are the noises coming from the woods, and what created them?
Stay tuned as our LCES lions will share what they heard and found in the woods that dreaded night.
We want to make sure that we stay connected in this new blended learning environment. This is a place where we can share our stories. Stay tuned for more information about how to be a part of the Lions Roaring Reports.
