MITHALI JOKES,”NEED TOSS TUITIONS FROM MS DHONI”

MITHALI JOKES,”NEED TOSS TUITIONS FROM MS DHONI”

Indian Women’s cricket captain and chief Mithali Raj needs to follow MS Dhoni on the best way to win tosses in regards to the adjustment of her approach during Day 1 of the Pink-ball Test against Australia in Gold Coast.

Mithali did manage to lose the toss once again. However the team eventually figured out how to overwhelm Australia for the majority of four days as the pinkball Test finished in a draw on Sunday.

“I didn’t want that to become a legacy. The way the girls have been pulling my leg for that! So I thought I should change. I really think I need to take a cue from MS Dhoni on how to win a toss,” Raj joked at the post-match press conference.

Smriti Mandhana’s wonderful 127 on Day 2 joined with sublime bowling endeavors from Jhulan Goswami, Pooja Vastrakar and Deepti Sharma helped the guests dictate terms. In a game where 80 or more overs were lost in the initial two days because of downpour joined by lightning.

The climate interferences made it unthinkable for the match to create an outcome even and Raj said that it was a “Dicey” call with regards to when India would declare their second innings on Day 4. Pursuing towards an external possibility of triumph against Australia.

Experts anticipated that India should declare their second innings at tea yet they came out for a couple of more overs setting up a tough chance of winning. Eventually setting up 272 for the hosts to chase in the 4th innings. “It was somewhat awkward with regards to when we could declare. Getting eight wickets in 15 overs was nothing less than a mountain climb,” Raj said.

I have not seen anyone else who has done that consistently against Bumrah, but AB is a freak,” he said in a interview.

“You probably get 2 or 3 international bowlers (in the IPL) and then you’ve got domestic bowlers as well, whom you could dominate. So, probably there’s a lot of pressure on Virat and AB as well, which could be one of the reasons and year after year, if you don’t win that title the pressure keeps on increasing as well.”

Notwithstanding, the previous Kolkata Knight Riders captain, who drove the team to 2 IPL prizes, featured that the two whiz batsmen in Kohli and de Villiers will be feeling the squeeze as RCB have not had the option to get their hands on the IPL prize.

VIRAT KOHLI TO STEP DOWN AS CAPTAIN

VIRAT KOHLI TO STEP DOWN AS CAPTAIN

As far as India’s limited over captaincy is concerned, the leadership may change, and Captain Virat Kohli may step down and transfer responsibilities to his deputy Rohit Sharma. Kohli is currently a patron of various forms of India and has become one of the greatest figures of all time.

There are rumors that Rohit will take over, at least in T20I, considering his record as a successful substitute captain of the IPL, he won five championships with the Mumbai Indians, further enhancing his proposition. However, once the 2021 ICC Men‘s T20 World Cup ends in the UAE, Kohli is now more willing to focus on batting.

“Virat himself will make the announcement. He is of the view that he needs to concentrate on his batting and go back to becoming what he’s always been — the best batsman in the world,” The Times of India quoted sources as saying.

Kohli, 32, has so far led India in 95 ODIs, and with 65 wins along with 27 defeats. He has a winning percentage of 70.43. In 45 T20Is so far where he has been the captain, India have won 27 times while losing 14 times.

On the other hand, Rohit, 34, has led India 10 times in ODI. Leading them to victories on eight occasions. While losing twice. In T20Is, he has captained them 19 times of which they have won 15 and lost four.

“It will wrap up a historic Test cycle from an India perspective. Virat is also the first to realise that his overall responsibilities as captain are taking a toll on his batting.

He needs that space and freshness because he has a lot more to offer. If Rohit takes over as whiteball captain, Virat can continue leading India’s red-ball team. He will work on his T20 and One-day batting. He’s just 32. Given his fitness, he will easily play top cricket for another five to six years at least. The report stated.

One of the most important view about the captaincy of Kohli is that he has failed to win a major ICC tournament.  Recently, in June, India lost at the final of the World Test World ChampionshipIt  boosted the talks. However, according to the TOI report, Kohli, Rohit and India, team management has had meetings in recent months on the change of roles in white ball cricket.

T20 World Cup: Rashid resigns, Nabi new captain

T20 World Cup: Rashid resigns, Nabi new captain

Rashid Khan stepped down as captain. He said "the selection committee and ACB has not taken his consent for the team, declared by ACB media". All-rounder Mohammad Nabi will lead the team now.

In July, chief selector Asadullah Khan had given up his post, refering to "an excessive amount of interference" and obstruction from "non-cricketers" in the board.
Who have "no information about the players and selection" as the principle explanations behind his choice to look down.

Afghanistan's team for the T20 World Cup contained a few players who had done well previously. Yet not been important for the national set-up lately. It includes Mohammad Shahzad, who got suspended for one year in late 2019, and has qualified to play since August 2020.

The speed couple of Shapoor Zadran and Dawlat Zadran are in the squad. Shapoor last played a T20I for Afghanistan in March 2020, Dawlat in September 2019. The injury-inclined Hamid Hassan, who hasn't played a T20I for Afghanistan since March 2016, was likewise essential for the team.

ICC Rules: Simply an added advantage

Interestingly, the team decided had 18 players, with just two set apart as reserves. According to the ICC's guidelines, each group needs to name a team of 15 players.

With an arrangement for naming reserve players. In April 2021, the ICC had expanded the team size for ICC events from 23 to 30. Including support staff, as a feature in relation to the Covid-19 pandemic.

With Rashid's stepping down from from captaincy.  Also the number of players named over the constraint of 15. There will probably be changes to Afghanistan's team.

Afghanistan's last T20I series was in March 2021 against Zimbabwe, during which Asghar Afghan led the group.

Team by ACB: Rashid Khan, Mujeeb Ur Rahman, Rahmanullah Gurbaz (wk), Karim Janat, Hazratullah Zazai, Gulbadin Naib, Usman Ghani, Naveen ul Haq, Asghar Afghan, Hamid Hassan, Mohammad Nabi, Sharafuddin Ashraf, Najibullah Zadran, Dawlat Zadran, Hashmatullah Shahidi, Shapoor Zadran, Mohammad Shahzad (wk), Qais Ahmad

India announced their 18-member squad, including reserves, on Wednesday night. This squad will play in the T20 WORLD CUP 2021, taking place in the UAE and Oman in the months of October-November. Selectors have given a shock to people as well as some players. The following are the squad’s two most important announcements:

Ravichandran Ashwin will return to white ball cricket after a four-year absence. Ashwin played his last white ball match in the Champions Trophy final against Pakistan. After that, the experienced offspinner did not get a chance to play.

T20 World Cup: Dhoni is BACK!!!

Former captain MS Dhoni will be back withinside the Team India dugout — this time, as a mentor for the T20 World Cup.

Sources stated India’s choking in white-ball cricket in ICC tournaments under captain Virat Kohli and coach Ravi Shastri is one of the key elements in the back of the selection.

The team has both fallen on the very last hurdle or did not make it to the very last hurdle of the Champions Trophy, and World T20 and 50-over World Cups.

Kohli hasn’t even led Royal Challengers Bangalore to an IPL title. Dhoni, who leads Chennai Super Kings, is a 3-time IPL-winning captain and has delivered domestically. He also has 3 ICC trophies — World T20, Champions Trophy and the World Cup.

BCCI looking for the win

BCCI Secretary Jay Shah stated the selection to name up the 40-year-old retired global and the country’s most-celebrated white-ball cricketer after he met Dhoni in Dubai, wherein IPL teams have begun training to finish the incomplete Covid-hit Season 14.

The BCCI is hopeful that Dhoni will assist Kohli crack the white-ball code“No one can guide this Indian team better than Dhoni. He has plenty of experience and the players trust him a lot. His presence in the dugout will help players and support staff. Jay (Shah) felt that Dhoni is the only person who can help the team during the T20 World Cup, so he dialled him,”a BCCI source stated.

Besides, with Shastri’s tenure finishing after the T20 World Cup, and the BCCI now no longer eager to resume his contract. Dhoni’s appointment could be vital to fill in temporary roles.

A lackluster performance in the 4th test after taking the lead in the first innings. England will be looking to bounce back in the series to level it at 2-2.
