In this final episode of Season 1, Lesley is joined by Dr Sarah Buckley who shares her wealth of expertise on the topic of the hormonal physiology of birth, specifically related to Lamaze Healthy Birth Practice No.1. Dr Buckley describes quite beautifully what the consequences are for birthing mothers and their babies when hormonal gaps are created by interrupting the normal physiology of birth through induction of labour or scheduled cesarean. As with all episodes in this series, I have some top tips for you. Sarah offers her advice to how you can fill in these gaps to ensure that your postpartum is a time where you are able to experience positive attachment and increase breastfeeding success.
