The Boys (Season 1)
The Boys is Amazon Prime's dark and gritty look at the world of corporate superheroes based on a comicbook by Garth Ennis who is known for putting a violent, unforgiving tone of comics for both Marvel and DC in the past. The show follows the adventures of "The Seven" - a gang of world famous superheroes backed by a global conglomerate, Vought International - and many other heroes who all view membership as the pinnacle of their superhero career.  We'll also be answering a few questions we've had on Twitter and going into more detail about our upcoming rebrand including unveiling our new name!

SDCC 2019 Review
Another year, another San Diego Comic Con comes and goes and another set of jaws hit the floor as we get some sneak peeks and trailers of what's to come over the next few years on television and the big screen. 2019 saw the return of Marvel to Hall H after missing last year and, as expected, they made quite an impact this year and stole all the headlines. Lets us know your favourite moments over on Twitter and if there's anything you especially loved or hated.

Spider-Man: Far From Home
As the dust settles on "Avengers: Endgame" and the world comes to term with "the snap" (or "the blip" as they know it) we join Peter Parker, our friendly neighbourhood Spider-Man, as he struggles to come to terms with the loss of his mentor, Iron Man/Tony Stark. Far From Home sees Peter and his classmates take a trip around Europe to see the sights, get some much needed R&R and to join S.H.I.E.L.D. in a huge operation to save our Earth from being destroyed. Wait... what?!

Stranger Things (Season 3)
The finest program produced by Netflix is back for it's much-anticipated third season and it's broken records in a matter of days. 40M+ households started the show and 18M+ completed it within the first three days of release. That should go someway to showing how popular this show is as we travel once again to Hawkins, Indiana to follow El, Mike, Will, Dustin, Lucas and the rest of our new friends to see what horror sci-fi shenanigans they're up to this time.

Lord of the Rings Trilogy
We stumbled across this small independent film franchise - "Lord of the Rings" - and it's by some guy called Peter Jackson who frankly we've never heard of before and we thought it was only fair to give it a quick review. It turns out it's alright really... *cough* Not hard to see why this is one of the most highly rated trilogies of all-time and definitely responsible for bringing the fantasy genre to the masses with it's wonderful character development, jaw dropping action and stunning visuals which don't look even remotely dated 20 years later. P.S. Gimli rules.

Game of Thrones (Season 8, Episode 6)
And so the curtain has finally come down on the biggest, most popular television show of all-time and in typical Game of Thrones fashion it's been divisive to say the least. Some loved it, some hated it and some decided to sign a petition demanding that it be remade only to be shot down by Sansa Stark herself... which camp are you in? Whatever you thought of the final episode it's fair to say that we'll likely never see another show like it that makes die-hard fans of all of us. And now our watch has ended.

Game of Thrones (Season 8, Episode 5)
We're now one step closer to the last EVER episode of Game of Thrones with episode 5 having aired this last weekend and to say it was another groundbreaking episode would be quite the understatement. We've seen Daenerys finally descend into fully blown Targaryen madness, so much bloodshed, more dragonfire than ever before and we finally got to see the much mooted Cleganebowl between brothers Sandor (The Hound) and Gregor (The Mountain) which was incredible!! No more Stu flying solo as Rory is back in the co-pilot seat for this episode too!

Game of Thrones (Season 8, Episode 4)
Defying convention with a short episode (I know, we're as shocked as you are) to cover one of the major plot points of Season 8, Episode 4 of Game of Thrones: have we just seen the true start of Daenerys' descent into madness? Is she now about to embrace her inner Mad Queen and channel her Father? Come listen to Stu as he gives you his thoughts.

Avengers: Endgame
Avengers Endgame, the final film in a 22-film saga spanning 11 years, looks set to be the highest grossing film of all-time after taking an incredible $1.2bn in it's first four days as people across the globe all scrambled to see the final film in what's been dubbed "The Infinity Saga" by Marvel and we were no different. We could not wait to watch this film and equally could not wait to review it for you all. As always we want to hear your thoughts, favourite bits, best lines and all the usual stuff which makes us smile from ear to ear in a way that only the MCU can manage.

Game of Thrones (Season 8, Episode 3)
The long awaited Battle of Wintefell - the battle between the combined allied forces under Daenerys Targaryen and the Army of the Dead led by the Night King - is finally upon us and it delivered on it's promise to be the most epic battle ever seen in either television or film. What we got was an 82 minute spectacular the likes of which we might never witness again but we still have three episodes to go so this season and this story is far from over. Next up: the match to King's Landing?

Game of Thrones (Season 8, Episode 2)
Following on from last week's season opener, episode 2 of Game of Thrones centres around the final moments before the imending Battle of Winterfell between the combined forces of the North, the Unsullied and Dothraki plus two dragons against the Army of the Dead with their one dragon. Obviously this episode contains spoilers for the episode so you have been warned!

Game of Thrones (Season 8, Episode 1)
Direwolves, dragons and violence... oh my! The final season of Game of Thrones is finally upon us and now we'll find out who will sit on the Iron Throne when the dust settles after the battle against the Army of the Dead. This is the television event of the year - and arguably of all-time - so it only seems right that we review the first episode, look at the reunions and foreshadowing for the rest of this landmark season. Let us know your thoughts on Twitter about this episode and the season ahead - who do you think will ultimately rule? Who will die?

Captain Marvel
Well we finally managed to defeat the Skrulls who had been impersonating us and procrastinating so it seems only fitting that we come back with our slightly overdue review of Captain Marvel! Oh and be warned this is a long episode even by our standards. Carol Danvers is a Kree warrior with incredible powers... or is she? There's more than meets the eye with this wise cracking, photo blasting badass so when she comes to Earth and meets a younger Agent Nicholas J. Fury and a very wet-behind-the-ears Agent Phil Coulson you know there's going to be fireworks... literally! Join us for our review of the latest Marvel blockbuster to shatter records and defy expectations and then let us know your thoughts.

The Umbrella Academy (Season 1)
Netflix does it again, another smash-hit TV show adapted from a comic book but this time it's "The Umbrella Academy" - written by Gerard Way of My Chemical Romance and published by Dark Horse Comics and naturally we couldn't keep away from it. They're not like any reluctant heroes you've ever seen before, this is definitely not a mainstream comic or TV show but it's well worth your time and we hope you'll come along and listen to our thoughts.

True Detective (Season 3)
After a disappointing second season, HBO's "True Detective" has fired back onto our screens with a welcome return to form in the third season starring Mahershala Ali and Stephen Dorff. If you love weird, occult true crime drama then this show is definitely for you.

Aquaman
Aquaman, the latest DCEU offering from Warner Bros, was one of the surprise success stories of 2018 having now taken over $1bn worldwide! Following hot on the heels of Wonder Woman, Aquaman tells the story og Arthur Curry - half human, half Atlantian - as he struggles in a world where he isn't quite sure whether he belongs on land or under the sea and James Wan has done a fantastic job of telling the story of one of comics most misunderstood characters. We'll also do a news round-up focussing on some of the other big TV and movie releases this year such as the recently released trailer for "Spider-Man: Far From Home" and a look ahead to season 8 of Game of Thrones.

Into The Spider-Verse
For our first episode of 2019 we wanted to review Sony's "Into The Spider-Verse" which was a stunning way to end a brilliant year for comic-related film and television. The film also started 2019 by winning the Golden Globe for Best Animated Feature Film and all while receiving global praise for an interesting, exciting new look at a character we already know so much about. It's an all-star cast, a heart-felt script and a wonderful reminder of why we all love Spider-Man so much no matter who happens to be under the mask.

Avengers: Endgame (Trailer Reaction)
Finally the most anticipated film of 2019 has it's name - Avengers 4 is officially titled "Avengers: Endgame" and we have our first teaser trailer too! Picking up sometime after the events of Avengers: Infinity War, Endgame will see the remaining Avengers dealing with the consequences of Thanos' now-infamous finger snap which wiped out half of all living creatures in the universe to create a cosmic balance. We saw heroes and civilians disappear in the blink of an eye but what happened after that? How did the world cope? Does anyone have any idea what really happened in the forests of Wakanda and how does the world start to rebuild after such a disaster? Hot on the heels of that incredible Captain Marvel trailer, we'll look into the teaser for Endgame, give some theories on what we think may have happened and look ahead to what is sure to be the most spectacular film that the MCU has ever seen.

Captain Marvel (Trailer Reaction)
Just two months before Avengers 4 hits cinemas, we get our first solo outing with Captain Marvel - confirmed as being the most powerful hero in the entire MCU - and a chance to see her powers before we see them being put to use trying to defeat Thanos. The film is groundbreaking for Marvel as it will be their first Hollywood blockbuster starring a female superhero and takes place during the 1990s where we see younger versions of Nick Fury and Phil Coulson helping Carol Danvers investigate her former life on Earth before she became a cosmic powerhouse stuck in the middle of the famed Kree/Skrull war. Brie Larson takes on her biggest role to date and all signs point to another smash-hit Marvel films with the trailer showing the film to take place both on Earth and in the deepest regions of space. Let us know your thoughts on the trailer, the character and your expectations for the film itself. We can't wait to see this!

The Walking Dead (Season 9)
Season 9 of The Walking Dead, AMC's smash hit post-apocalyptic zombie TV series, is now at the halfway point and having aired the mid-season finale this past weekend now seems a good time to look back at this season in context with the rest of the show. Have you enjoyed the new direction? What did you think of the shocking character exits we've seen this season? Can the show go on much longer? Tweet us with your thoughts!

Red Dead Redemption 2
It's been a long 8 years since Rockstar's "Red Dead Redemption" first made waves on the Xbox 360 and Playstation 3 and finally one of the most sought after sequels of all-time has finally landed to critical acclaim. With an estimated 60 hours minimum of gaming time needed to fully explore this huge ever-changing map it's little wonder that sales of the game hit $725M on the opening weekend and so far 17 million copies have been sold worldwide leaving the game as a contender for 2018 Game of the Year despite only having been released in October. No small feat but if there's one thing Rockstar know how to do it's make a blockbuster game. So strap on your chaps, load up your rifle and mosey on over to hear what we have to say about this game. Yeeeehaw!

A Tribute to Stan Lee
Stan Lee rose through the ranks of Marvel Comics (then known as Timely Comics) starting as a lowly assistant before becoming a writer, editor and ulimately becoming the driving force behind some of the most well known and beloved comic characters of all-time. Superheroes were always seen as untouchable and Stan successfully broke that mould by making his characters seem more human by giving them obvious character flaws, making them younger and shattering the idea that all heroes were untouchable. He (sometimes in collaboration with others) created the Fantastic Four, the Incredible Hulk, Thor, Spider-Man, Iron Man, the X-Men, Daredevil, The Avengers and Dr. Strange. It's hard to imagine that the comic industry would exist in the way it does today - with so many associated TV shows and movies - were in not for the way Stan Lee completely overhauled the way things worked. Thanks for the memories, Stan. Excelsior!

Making A Murderer
Unless you've been living in a cave somewhere you've probably heard about "Making A Murderer", the smash-hit true crime documentary series from Netflix which looks into the questionable conviction of two men, Steven Avery and Brendan Dassey, over the murder of a young woman, Teresa Halbach. The first season delved deeply into the history of Steven, his previous wrongful arrest and conviction for which he served 18 years in prison and then the murder trial which ultimately led to him being incarcerated on a life sentence with no hope of parole. The second season, however, covers the last two years since the first season of Making A Murderer was aired and looks at the impact on the relevant family members, the efforts made to get both convictions overturned and some very interesting scientific testing being used to try and get both men a new trial. Join us to hear our thoughts, our favourite moments, our most disliked people and let us know your thoughts too over on Twitter.

They gave us cultural icons like Mario and Sonic and set the stage for all consoles which have tried to follow in their footsteps.
