Lewis provides 6,500 students with programs for a liberal and professional education based on the interaction of knowledge and fidelity in the search for truth.

Special Guest - Dr. Michael Cherry

This month on Flyers and Friends at Lewis University podcast we feature special guest Dr. Michael Cherry, Associate Professor and B.A. Program Director in the Organizational Leadership program. Prior to joining the faculty, Mike spent over twelve years as the Academic Coordinator of Adult Business Programs in the College of Business at Lewis. He is also a member of the Faculty Development Committee.  In addition to his teaching role, Mike has coached and consulted over the past 20 years serving as a trusted advisor to high potential leaders and groups to improve their leadership impact, collaboration and productivity to drive business success and achieve personal fulfillment. Mike leverages evidence based coaching practices and his experience, and education, to prepare leaders to manage change, engage cross functional teams and effectively influence organizational strategy. He completed his coach education at Lewis University and received his PCC certification from the International Coach Federation. His doctoral studies at Olivet Nazarene University included research on emotional intelligence in healthcare leadership. In this episode we had the opportunity to meetup and talk with Mike to about his interesting career, reflect on his unique experiences, discuss his research, and talk about his views as an educational leader in the Lewis community.

Since coming to Lewis University in 2016, Dr. Erik Baker has served as an Associate Professor and as the Program Director of Master of Science in Aviation & Transportation.  In this episode we had the chance to catch up with Erik and discuss his unique journey toward becoming an educational leader and scholar at Lewis University, his impressive service career with the United States Navy, and his thoughts on on current issues related to the aviation and transportation industry.

Special Guest - Dr. Ray Klump

Since coming to Lewis University in 2001, Dr. Ray Klump has been instrumental in helping grow the Computer and Mathematical Sciences program. In his various roles at Lewis University Ray has served as an instructor, a Department Chair in Computer and Mathematical Sciences, a Director of the Master of Science in Information and Security program. He has been a Visiting Research Scientist with the Information Trust Institute at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign where he was responsible for research related to cybersecurity and the electrical grid. In addition, Ray recently became the Associate Dean of the College of Aviation, Science and Technology at Lewis University. In this episode we meet up with Dr. Ray Klump to discuss his experiences at Lewis University.
