Turn Chaos Into Calm
Have you ever imagined what your life would look like if it was calm and free from chaos? In this episode, I believe that you will find this conversation helpful when you feel like life is starting to head you into overdrive. Today, I sit down with Deborah Rankin, a writer, health coach, and registered dietitian nutritionist who often help other people improve their self-care. After frenetic years as a sales executive for four Fortune 500 companies, she faced a series of personal losses with no reserves of physical or emotional health. Burned out, sick, and grieving, she hit rock bottom and stayed there for two years. Gradually, she crawled her way back to vitality using the small steps and rituals she now shares with her readers. Her new book De-Stress Your Life: Turn Chaos into Calm is a guidebook to living life with calm and joyful energy. Deborah has a formula that she uses to reduce stress and increase energy (E+M+C2). What does that mean? 1. Eat nourishing food, 2. Move your body, 3. Connect yourself to others. It is Deborah's mission to help hard-working small business owners, entrepreneurs, and creatives to make small sustainable changes that start at where they are currently. So, come on, hang out for a bit. I'll meet you inside. GIVEAWAY: Please leave us a review on this post for a chance to win a copy of Deborah's book "De-Stress Your Life: Turn Chaos Into Calm". Overcoming Generational Trauma
In 2020 self-care became the newly re-invented buzzword of the year. Going inside and being disconnected from distractions has allowed room for emotions to float up to the surface. Many have uncovered the connection between what feels like unending emotional pain and their family. This discovery is not that new, it has been around for centuries. It is known as Generational Trauma. Generational Trauma isn't experienced by just one individual but passed down from one generation to the next. Though it is relatively a new field of study by experts, those who have been touched by it know firsthand the setback and emotional torture that it can give. In this episode with Christy Moore we discuss: Reclaiming your joy despite past experiences or what is happening in the world around you. We get a little personal in discussing and sharing our own generation trauma. Why self-care and is needed around issues like Generational Trauma to help you to continue to thrive, grow, and build a successful life and business.

Welcome To Club CoCo
Majority of people at some point have dreams. Many land on dusty shelves, and are spoken of after a few glasses of bubbly. They will take on jobs that will take care of their material needs while playing gigs on the side. Meet Coco Maria she specializes in Brazilian, South, Central American and Caribbean wax. Dancing is another form of self-care sweating and swaying to grooves like Bossa Nova, Samba, Cumbia, and many other rhythms from sunnier destinations. Self-care is being fully aware of what you want and going after it. Healing Through Music With Melody Box Co
When I met these two ladies and heard about their background, I was just blown away! I wanted to work with them and knew they could help me find that song I was seeking for my business. Liberate and Lather has a Self-Care Theme Song!
This week on the Podcast is my celebration of what the meaning of Self-care means to me and how important it is to implement this as a daily practice. When my assistant came to me and said that I should really take the audio from the videos that I was already doing and turn them into a Podcast I was excited because it validated what I was thinking. However, I wanted to have my own original song that summed up what Liberate and Lather was all about. So this week the song will be released. In this episode I discuss the song verse by verse and a slight overview of how it was to work with Melody Box Co. Be sure to catch the full interview in Episode 17 this week. I don’t want to spill the beans quite yet. But I did want my special time alone with my special backup dancers. You want to be sure to catch the next episode for a free download of the song.

Majority of us, myself included are doing something that could be called empty time. We listen to music, podcasts, audiobooks and trainings as we drive around or go about our day. Many even on public transit can be seen scrolling social media or reading. Have you taken your phone in the bathroom texted or checked and replied to emails? No judgement here, but can we talk for a few minute? Today for just a few minutes join me as I chat about taking time to implement being still. Head over to www.liberateandlather.com for more inspiration on journaling and self-care.

The Magic is You: Michele and Aimee Take 100% Responsibility For Your Life

Liberate and Lather: A Journey to Self Care the 411
Welcome friend! I wanted to take a minute to introduce myself and my new venture...this podcast. I am a soap and candle junkie with a big passion for self-care. COVID-19 brought out the stress of uncertainty and confusion of where my income for my business was going to come from next. I was forced to sit and contemplate my next step. To revamp my site and how I sold my products and to possibly create something new to help maybe my business. What happened was an interview series that lead me to create this podcast. Through my interview series I met many other creatives trying to figure out the next step for their business during 'Rona. So please, sit back and enjoy the project that evolved from a tragedy. Much love, Angie Clay

MoaZen: Faith and Hope Pivoting During A Pandemic
Hey hey! Coming through today with a fun interview I did with some new friends! We met via Instagram when Hope from MoaZen Jewelry commented on one of our journal prompt posts. You can now find them chillin at their studio hosting DIY classes and other fun art classes! Wish I could get to NC to check it out! During this weird time at home we talk about how important it is to maintain self care and keeping in tune with yourself. One thing we talked about keeping those good vibes flowing. Remembering this is a great time to slow down and find a project or hobby that you've been wanting to try but never had the time for. Gardening, crafts, reading more, learning a new skill, or whatever!
