Liberty, Bigly

By The Liberty Weakly Podcast

Liberty. Bigly is a foil of the Liberty Weekly Podcast, a show about libertarian and voluntaryist legal theory. These are the off-kilter, less formal episodes that didn't fit the show proper. It's gonna be great, guys.

The DOWNFALL of YouTube?!

The DOWNFALL of YouTube?!

YouTube announced today that it is going to start removing content which claims election fraud or errors. This is the lid on the coffin folks. The days of liberty content providers on YouTube are almost up. People better start getting used to alternative platforms.

Alt Tech is the "Wild West" of the Internet

Alt Tech is the "Wild West" of the Internet

So I have been on the Alt-Social media sites for a couple weeks now. It is way better than the traditional sites. I am astounded because for some reason I didn't imagine the tide turning like this so soon. Alt tech is viable and the biggest pitfalls you see from it are likely only from lack of like-minded users. Anyways, in this episode I discuss how the show has been going, how excited I am at how well its been going, and my excitement with my new followings on the alt-tech platforms, and I talk about my favorite ones and what I've been doing there.

Subjective Value and Netflix's "Slobby's World"

In this episode I discuss Slobby's World, a show run by a "caveman looking fella" who makes a fortune off of sourcing vintage apparel and marking it up by sometimes 1000%.

Tales of Resistance

Tales of Resistance

In this episode I discuss a project I am working on. Its purpose is to prepare and inspire liberty loving people to resist the dystopia we are being led into. We know from history resistance will come at incredible personal risk and sacrifice. Sadly, this is something we have to be prepared to endure.

Those Who Yearn For a New Civil War Are Those Who Haven't Seen One

Alex Jones on Joe Rogan: Culture War Turning Point?

I was very glad to see Alex Jones return to the Joe Rogan Experience. In response to this episode, Blue Checkmark Twitter lost their collective minds. In response Spotify actually came out in defense of Joe Rogan, saying that he can have whomever he wants on the show. Does money talk? Does Spotify not care about the outrage because of Rogan's numbers? Is this a huge turning point in the culture war?

The Evils of Empire and "The Monkey's Paw"

I never realized that the Monkey's Paw, one of the most chilling short stories of all time, was actually an anti-war piece warning of the unintended consequences of empire. Blew my mind. Great fodder for Liberty, Bigly.  CORRECTION: It was not Sid Philips who spoke at a Mises event. It was his best friend, Eugene Sledge https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WCIJfM_CgWo

In this episode I reflect on podcasts I've been listening to which discuss what civil unrest and insurgencies actually look and feel like. I talk a little bit about a collection of short stories I am writing that I most likely will never finish. Good times!

Fact-Checking Our Way Out of Rationality

Fact-Checking Our Way Out of Rationality

Thank-goodness we have unbiased fact-checking services to embrace our preconceived notions. We don't have to think! *Correction* The Fairbanks study concluded thusly: "The principal conclusion of our study is that fire did not cause the collapse of WTC 7 on 9/11, contrary to the conclusions of NIST and private engineering firms that studied the collapse. The secondary conclusion of our study is that the collapse of WTC 7 was a global failure involving the near-simultaneous failure of every column in the building."

Tulsi Gabbard is No Friend of Liberty

Tulsi Gabbard is No Friend of Liberty

Yes, the issue of war and peace is the most important, but Tulsi Gabbard's noninterventionist tendencies do not outweigh her other, authoritarian, stances. That being said, Tulsi is not anti war because she believes war is fundamentally mass murder. If elected, like all anti war candidates, she probably would not follow through.

Is Libertarianism a Cult?

Don't Be a "Jailhouse Lawyer"

Don't Be a "Jailhouse Lawyer"

In this episode, I beg members of the libertarian and voluntaryist communities NOT to be a "jailhouse lawyer." If you have legal problems, hire a lawyer who is objective and competent enough to handle your case.  If you do prosecute or defend your own case, write briefs in the "IRAC" form. Write succinctly and PUT THAT THESAURUS DOWN. Finally, if you are going to go full ancap in the courtroom, for the love of God, don't argue from positive law.

This episode is not to be construed as legal advice.
