Returning guest Scott Spaulding joins us the first episode in a planned four-part series to discuss his four deployment experiences, two in Iraq and two in Afghanistan. In this episode, Scott recounts his entire first deployment as a Civil Affairs Marine. Which began with preparations for the Second Battle of Fallujah in the late summer and Fall of 2004. Scott fought in the second Battle of Falluja and then participated in humanitarian efforts to rebuild the city and support the civilian population. 

I was glad to be joined by Etienne de la Boetie² to discuss how he, with the help of others, was able to organize civil disobedience during the height of the COVID lockdowns. We also discuss his book, "'Government' The Biggest Scam in History" and hit on a number of the most eye raising revelations therein.

Too often are liberty folks made to apologize for their beliefs or default to the defensive. We should never be ashamed to advocate for the cause of liberty. Conversely, the burden of proof is not on us to justify a free society. Lew Rockwell explains in a December, 2001 article the importance of being bold and sticking to principle, especially when all hope seems lost.

One morning in the early 1980s an 18 year old Carmen Alexe packed her bags for a swim meet in neighboring Yugoslavia. She said goodbye to her parents and her sister. She was the only one who knew she could be saying goodbye for the last time. After the swim meet, Carmen fled to Italy and applied for political asylum. She eventually immigrated to the United States and started her own business. In 2008, she discovered Ron Paul. This is her story.
