Today I am joined by Quan and Felix. Quan is a musician and audio producer and Felix is a filmmaker and director. Both have decided to pursue their respective creative endeavours and have kindly unpacked what it has taken for them to get to where they are today.

The two have been working closely on Quan (Jason's) New EP - which will be released this Friday (May 31, 2024), accompanied by a short documentary that has been directed by Felix.

Dylan Perucic is a uni-dropout turned landscaping business-owner. He didn't agree with the narrative that was thrust upon him and following a powerful conversation with his uni-lecturer, he quickly dropped out and scaled his lawn-mowing business into a successful landscaping company.

Now, Dylan feels that he is destined for more. Listen to his ambitions for running UTA100, a 100KM Ultra Marathon in NSW, and why he feels that this is the next necessary step in his life.

Bill Gasiamis was a busy man and an owner of a successful property maintenance company. An entrepreneur from the onset, Bill had finally landed an exciting project that would validate his years of tirelessly working and striving towards a breakthrough like this. However, Bill was dealt with a life-threatening curveball which has altered his perception on how he wants to navigate his life.

Ashley Lacey is the Store Manager at Lululemon Doncaster. During 2022, she had to step aside from this significant position in the store to go on maternity leave and bring life into this world. We speak on the unspoken adversity that this period of time holds for most mothers, as well as how to navigate such a challenging (yet beautiful) time.

Expect to learn about the love and resentment that maternity leave creates, managing the stigma surrounding 'only' being a retailing manager and how to lead others with kindness.

Alex Cleary clearly runs… At least that’s what his Instagram handle and a plethora of running-related content suggests he does. From 7 marathons in 7 days to running a marathon in Antarctica this coming December, Alex is a testament to pushing your body to its absolute limits. Alex’s sister unfortunately took her own life, a life that brought about many poor behaviours that eventuated in Alex almost following her shortly after. Since then, he has been able to turn his life around for the better and is the real-life embodiment of learning from your mistakes.
We chat about his sister’s suicide and the consequential effects that it had on him and his family, and also how Notion and Gratitude has helped him achieve a 180 in his life.

Gemma Mullins, also known as Coach Gemma, is the founder of 'Uplift Movement' - an online coaching service that predominately caters towards women. She is also a co-host of the "Oi Let's Talk" podcast, a podcast that centralises around fitness, mindset and business. However, this life was not always Gemma's intention, with her background entailing Events Management in the corporate world.

The both of us discuss her transition to entrepreneurship, leveraging networks and also what it's like being on national television.

Lucy Skelton's 2022 Electorate Campaign for the Seat of Kew fell short by 4% in what was an almost history-defining moment for Australia. That's not to say that she isn't paving the way in politics as a young woman, however. In this episode, Lucy discusses the importance of political literacy and provides insight into how she navigates her youth and 'inexperience' in an industry that is predominately saturated with an older demographic.

Cal Tate is the co-owner of both Emerge Gym and Oviss Group. In this episode, we unpack Cal’s tumultuous upbringing from barely staying in school, the influence of basketball and his parents on mindset, negating tertiary education and hanging around the wrong crowds to becoming a successful owner of two businesses and changing his life for the better. 

Emerge Gym has become a popular gym that many people go to. The gym has been operating for just over a year and has situated itself as one of Melbourne’s top gyms. Offering state of the art equipment and a beautiful floorspace, the gym prides itself on the culture that it has fostered - particularly through capped memberships to allow for smooth training and gym experiences. Cal speaks on Emerge Gym in-depth on how he and his co-owners provide value through their gym and I cannot thank him enough for the insight.
