EP 014 - Building an Empire the Introvert Way with Kylee Hanson
You don't have to have a Type A personality, be extrovert or loud to claim what's yours in life. In the whirlwind of the digital age, we have found that there's a lot of pressure to be on display and showing everything that we are doing at all times. This modality is creating a culture where our self-worth is starting to be tied to how busy, in-the-know & in-the-show, we are. This needs to stop and we are here to cut the BS around success in this episode by featuring Ky-Lee Hanson, introvert, social changer, and boss woman at Golden Brick Road Publishing House. ABOUT Ky-Lee Hanson Publisher | Head Of House | C.E.O. Ky-Lee Hanson is an “ideas” person; she envisions solutions to many of the world's issues. Ky-Lee creates and executes dozens of projects at a time, and offers guidance directly to hundreds of people every week to intentionally create social change. Ky-Lee started GBR out of a need she saw for the voice movement. GBR is a growing team with 300+ authors and is rapidly diversifying its portfolio and empire of services. Ky-Lee has formal training in business and health, but is mostly self-taught. She is a multi best selling award-winning author, successful entrepreneur, philanthropist, and selfless leader. She thrives on creating opportunities to help people along their journey, and she excels at it. Her success came by developing the taboo art of collaborative business, giving everyone the space to rise. Ky-Lee has an open-door policy she learned from her mom, a listening ear, and an opportunity to link arms and take you down your Golden Brick Road. EP 011 - Unstuck Yourself: What is stopping us when we know what we have to do?
In this episode, we explore the underlying reason for feeling stuck and not doing what we know we have to do to level up our lives. Some experts call this self-sabotage but Julia gives it another name with a different angle: Resistance. We do not stop on our tracks consciously, and as overachievers, we do not want to sabotage ourselves. However, it is important to be aware of the situations that trigger you to postpone the actions that will move you forwards - the "procrastiplanning", as Karem calls it-. Let's dive in!

003-NOT Another Show on the Perfect Morning Routine
IN THE EPISODE YOU WILL HEAR ABOUT: A new format today! Karem interviews Julia on why everyone is talking about the importance of a morning routine and if you actually need one.  How to decide what ‘should’ or shouldn't be a part of your morning to create a routine that truly feels empowering and sustainable  JULIA’S EXPERIMENT OF THE WEEK Treat your morning routine as an intentional practice for yourself that declares YOU run your life, YOU are in charge of how you feel. Take a look at how your mornings currently flow and identify how they make you feel. If you like the way that you feel and enjoy your mornings as is, drop the ‘should’s’ that you need your morning routine to be any different than it already is. If you aren’t happy with how you feel starting your day or are wanting to feel differently, start with ONE small shift you can make to your routine this week that feels so doable it’s a given.  RESOURCES If you know that it’s TIME for you to get ahold of your schedule and take back control of your calendar consider checking out Karem’s Declutter Your To Do List as a part of your new morning routine.

002-Protecting your Time, Energy, and Mood with Boundaries
IN THE EPISODE YOU WILL HEAR ABOUT: How to tell if you’re lacking boundaries or that your boundaries aren’t being respected  The reason boundaries are needed for you to show up as your most authentic, thriving self and how to start setting yours  Specific boundaries to set around your time, relationships, finances, social media use, and recharging needs to truly take control of your mood and life JULIA’S EXPERIMENT OF THE WEEK Create a boundary around screen time. Social media and Netflix are Ah-mazing when we use them intentionally. They also tend to be what we use to numb our uncomfortable feelings instead of tuning into what those feelings are trying to tell us. Create an experiment around turning off all electronic devices an hour before bed or limiting TV episodes to one or two/day. Use that boundary to see what emotions and needs come up for you when you’re not numbing to highlight what other boundaries might allow you to really thrive.  RESOURCES Start establishing boundaries around your time and calendar with Karem’s #1 Productivity Tactic: Declutter Your To Do List

001-Radical Responsibility and Embracing the SUCK
IN THE EPISODE YOU WILL HEAR ABOUT: Who Julia Balto and Karem Mieses are, why we’re here and what we want to share with you here on the LifeBoss show.  What it means to ‘embrace the suck’ without wallowing in it Practical steps to take radical responsibility for your mindset, beliefs, actions, and habits JULIA’S EXPERIMENT OF THE WEEK This is a really helpful tool for the next time you notice yourself stuck in a headspace of blaming, comparing, or feeling resentful, especially when it feels like a disproportionate emotional response to what’s actually happening. Instead of judging yourself or stuffing the feeling down, pause and say ‘Hmm, interesting. I’m feeling X.’ Give yourself permission to explore what you’re feeling, examine the story you’re telling yourself, and identify what you might need in order to validate and shift the way you feel.  KAREM’S EXPERIMENT OF THE WEEK 1) Practice stillness. Seek out moments without music, audiobooks, scrolling on your phone, making to-do lists, etc. Find creative ways to sit in quiet for 30 seconds to 10 minutes and allow your thoughts to come and flow.  2) Establish a ‘Gratefulness Roll Call’. This is one you can practice with the whole family. Make a daily practice of focusing on the big and small things that you’re grateful for right now, especially the little things and not waiting to celebrate just the Oscar moments.
