111. In this episode we are talking about maybe one of the most overlooked and underrated cities in Los Angeles, the city of Santa Clarita.  Well it was for sure for me anyway. Santa Clarita is the third largest city in LA behind Long Beach and LA itself of course!  Our guest today is Evan  and he is from Visit Santa Clarita the official tourism board for the city so there is no better person to share all the incredible things that this city has to offer for those of us in Los Angeles looking for new adventures to explore.  If you already know about the gems of Santa Clarita or if you haven't yet got a chance to go out there yet, you are going to love this episode because its jam packed with tips on hacking the perfect day there.  You can find out more about Visit Santa Clarita on their Instagram at: https://www.instagram.com/visitsantaclarita/ or on their website: https://visitsantaclarita.com/ You can find more LifeHacksLA at: www.lifehacksla.com and www.instagram.com/lifehacksla   To join the LA Hackers Club go to:  http://lifehacksla.com/jointheclub   This episode was edited by Jaconell Mouton from Creative Wave. https://jaconellmouton.com/

110. J. Forte. The Black Buzz Lightyear. Musician. Astronaut. And maybe LA's Next Mayor?

110. J. Forte. The Black Buzz Lightyear. Musician. Astronaut. And maybe LA's Next Mayor?

Ep 110. One of the things I love most about Los Angeles is the hustle mentality from many of the people you meet here. People in LA always seem to have multiple projects, business and side hustles going on, and lots of them are doing that while still juggling a full time job. As someone who has that same mentality of trying to build a community and a brand and still make enough money to reach my financial goals I really truly admire people who have those same motivations.
Well, let me tell you my guest today is one of the most motivated and inspiring people Ive met when it comes to hustling every day to try to reach your goals. His name is J Forte and we actually met by chance in a coffee shop where he was gathering signatures for his run for mayor of LA. So I thought that was intriguing but after talking to him I was surprised to learn that's not the only thing he has going on right now.
He is also training in Poland to be an analog astronaut. I didn't even know what that was until talking to him but its super fascinating.
He is a musician who has released music and does live performances.
He has appeared on numerous TV shows, he has published a few books, he does tech consulting for UI and UX design, he does motivational speeches and mentoring for kids and oh yeah lets not forget that LA mayoral run..
So this guy is the epitome of that LA hustle that I love so much… where people from all over the world move here to pursue their dreams.. And in this interview that's exactly what we talk about..
Knowing your dreams, working hard to achieve them and making them happen right here in the City of Angels Los Angeles.
Enjoy this conversation with Jesse Forte and at the end Ill have special hack for this episode.

107. In this episode we are hacking LA neighborhood gems with blogger Mariana in LA.  This is one of the websites I read regularly to keep up with all the new and classic spots in Los Angeles. She also talks about how she quickly learned that Los Angeles was not always the fairy tale land that she envisioned from all those years of watching movies. After struggling with some of the expectations vs reality of living here in LA she began to explore the city and discover there was much, much more to it that she did appreciate and love. In this episode she shares so many amazing local neighborhood gems throughout Los Angeles and Orange County that you are going to want to check out.  You can find out more about Mariana and Mariana in LA on her Instagram at: https://www.instagram.com/marianainla/or on her website: https://marianainla.com/  You can find more LifeHacksLA at: www.lifehacksla.com and www.instagram.com/lifehacksla   To join the LA Hackers Club go to:  http://lifehacksla.com/jointheclub   This episode was edited by Jaconell Mouton from Creative Wave. https://jaconellmouton.com/

105. Hacking a SoCal Staycation Hotspot - Temecula with Annette Brown

105. In this episode we are talking about one of our favorite subjects and that's day trips and weekend getaways from Los Angeles.

You have heard me say it time and time again… one of the best things about living in Los Angeles is all the other spectacular destinations that we can get to within 2 hours… and one of my favorites, one of my family's favorites is definitely Temecula!

Temecula is about 90 minutes from LA and about an hour from San Diego and if it was ever a secret how amazing this place is, the secret is out now. Over the last 5-10 years Temecula has grown tremendously and become a hot destination for people from LA and all over Southern California to come get away.

Temecula is best known as the heart of California's South Coast wine region with numerous next level wineries and experiences to offer. But there is much more to the city than that. They have some great bars and restaurants, awesome annual events and so much more.

My guest today is Annette Brown  and she is the senior director of Visit Temecula so there is no better person who can share all the incredible things that this city has to offer for those of us in Los Angeles looking for an awesome vacation getaway that we don't have to get on a plane for!

If you already love Temecula vacation getaways or even if you haven't yet got a chance to go out there. you are going to love this episode because its jam packed with tips on hacking the perfect vacation in Temecula.
