Unforget Yourself Podcast With Mark And Katie

Unforget Yourself Podcast With Mark And Katie

BIO: Mark’s a Brit who ended up on this side of the pond because that’s where Katie and the kids are and where they decided to open Unforget Yourself officially. (And, yes, he does get away with a lot because of his accent). Before Unforget Yourself, Mark owned and ran a marketing agency for 10 years - it’s where he grew professionally and personally, learning that a business is only able to be successful if the owner takes care of themself first. Mark’s the reason The Unforget Yourself System started - he desired to create something new from his own experience and knowledge and it’s from that desire that our system was born. In addition to all of this, Mark is a devoted dog dad to his Jack Russell Terrier, Abby, and a bonus dad to four actual kiddos.

Katie likes to try all the things in order to have the ability to speak from experience. She’s worked in corporate, been a stay-at-home mom, run her own businesses, homeschooled her four kids, trained in all things woo-woo and business, and really enjoys taking naps and climbing trees. For Katie, Unforget Yourself was born out of her experience making life-changing decisions that completely changed the trajectory of her life but were finally true to who she is.

ABOUT UNFORGET YOURSELF:

No one warns you that running your own business will become one of the most important and intense mental, emotional, and spiritual journeys you will ever have in your lifetime. It demands that you know yourself and show up as the best version of yourself in order to create the business and life you’re called to create. In order to do that, you need to get over your own bullshit so you can do the fucking thing - that’s what Unforget Yourself is here for. We help you grow and maintain the most important asset in your business - you.

Baby Steps Are Big Steps!

Baby Steps Are Big Steps!

Today, we are going to talk about how baby steps are big steps. Baby steps can indeed be significant and impactful. They may appear small on their own, but they contribute to progress and create momentum in the long run. By breaking down larger goals into smaller, manageable tasks, we can make consistent progress and maintain motivation along the way.

It's important to celebrate these small victories and acknowledge the progress made through each baby step. Sometimes, the most significant achievements come from the accumulation of many small steps taken consistently over time.

If you have recently taken a baby step towards a goal, feel free to share it in the comments. I'm here to provide support and encouragement as you continue on your journey.

Amy started her small business as a hobby, and It turned into a business that grew so fast. Because of this, she did go through a lot of trial and error. One thing Amy wished she could have had along the way was a mentor to guide, support, and encourage her.

Amy’s passion now is to be that support for a woman as she goes through business and or to help her with that business support and laser focus on her goals and ideas.

The vision of Amy’s business is to be a safe space for women, a space where they can let go and be able to feel like themselves. To journey through knowing what it's like to be “me” (them). As women, we wear so many hats, and Amy’s heart is always to have the place where a woman can let go and be empowered by challenging her mind, body, and spirit.

Tough Decisions Made Easy With These Simple Steps

Tough Decisions Made Easy With These Simple Steps

Doing hard things isn’t for the weak. It’s for those that are willing to take a risk to get a great reward. Let’s talk first about why it’s so important to do hard things in business. It’s important because as an entrepreneur, you need to make sure you oversee the entire need to solve a problem or the entire possibility of a certain outcome. If you at any point enter entrepreneurship without these two things in mind, you might as well turn around right now. Decision making and doing hard things is what is going to decide the fate of your company.

Leading Crucial Conversations

Leading Crucial Conversations

Let me know in the comments how you feel about crucial conversations. I’m talking about conversations where you have to let someone go, put an employee on a performance plan, let your child know that there are consequences coming, set a boundary with a friend.

These conversations are important for a lot of reasons. You need to make sure to be or stand strong in them so your business can run efficiently and effectively and so your relationships can flourish. When we fail at crucial conversations, every aspect of our lives can be affected: careers, communities, personal health. If you can master this, you can influence every aspect of your life.

In the best companies, people are willing to step into difficult conversations. In good companies, bosses deal with problems. In the best companies, everyone holds everyone accountable regardless of level position. In good companies, people shy away from holding people accountable because they are afraid of the outcome.

Motivated Money Mindset Matters!

Motivated Money Mindset Matters!

Give me a money sign in the comments if you are money motivated and if you want more money!

Your money mindset shapes the way you feel about debt, your attitude toward people who make more or less money than you, how easily you can give, your ability to invest with confidence, and more.

Principles of money, money characteristics - none of that matters if you don’t have the right mindset about money. Let’s talk about the first step in shifting your mindset about money:

Host Bio:

Gratitude With An Attitude

Gratitude With An Attitude

Today, I want to talk to you a little bit about "Gratitude With An Attitude". Gratitude has been a practice for me that I've really implemented over the last 2 1/2 to 3 years of my life. When you go through tough things in your life, you've got to find that silver lining.

For me, that silver lining is being grateful for what I have and focusing on what is around me so I don't miss those moments.

What Is A Business Strategy?

What Is A Business Strategy?

A plan of action to achieve the vision of a business. Decisions made, actions taken. All are working toward the vision of the business.

The vision of a business is the essential piece of the unit. The central core principle can never be shaken, adjusted, or changed. The business strategy is what supports that.

A business strategy outlines how the business will get from A to B while withholding its core mission statement and values / its why.

Join me today in discovering "What is a Business Strategy!"

3 Characteristics Of A Successful Entrepreneur

3 Characteristics Of A Successful Entrepreneur

Today, I will be discussing 3 Characteristics of a successful entrepreneur. Those of you who are in the business world know that this is not an easy road that we could have chosen but we choose it because we want more flexibility and to do what we love to do.  I believe that we have a purpose for what we're doing, and we want our products or services to reach our clients and do what it is that we are called and activate it.

Drop me a message in the comments today if you are fired up to be an entrepreneur and drop me a fire emoji down there!
