Her unique voice combines confessional-style lyrics with pop sensibility, exploring themes of innocence, temptation, and depression. Three of the songs on the EP were loosely inspired by characters from HBO’s Game of Thrones series, while other songs were inspired by more personal demons. The Demons EP has been described as “soul stirring, beautifully arranged and poignantly observed…” (Mike Alexander, Sunday Star Times).

Welcome to Episode 20 of LifeRhythms Radio!

In this episode, Robert interviews Adam Fielding. They discuss the topic “Safe Space” – a conversation that many of you incredible listeners will automatically resonate with.

Adam Fielding is one of the most amazing and talented ambient music producers in the 21st Century. Based in the UK, Adam is a music producer, singer, songwriter, sound designer and noisemaker. Adam was kind enough to discuss the power of creating mental, emotional and physical “safe space”. You will hear his stories and experiences about the power of environments and how they can affect ones mental, emotional and creative wellbeing. I have a sense that you will truly identify with his stories. Many creatives, empaths and those sensitive to environments will definitely resonate. From listening to Adams interview, you will find that it’s not the space that makes the creative person – It’s what the creative chooses to do in that space. If you feel uncomfortable working in the space that you are in, it is a great idea to address what is taking place in your environment. At the end of the day, who are you choosing to surround yourself with to increase your creativity, productivity and greater wellbeing? What environments are we choosing to participate in to we be our best and to produce our best work. Are we dodging our true impulses when it comes to our environments? Do we resonate with our physical work environments? Wherever you are, know that you deserve to feel the way that you want to feel.

Also in this episode, you will hear a song from Adam's album "Mesmera" (which was currently unreleased at the time of his interview) titled "From A Forgotten Past", as well as his inspiration for choosing it. Episode 9 – Staying True – Featured Guest: Stefanie Tovar

Episode 9 – Staying True – Featured Guest: Stefanie Tovar

Welcome to Episode 9 of LifeRhythms Radio!

In this episode, Robert interviews Stefanie Tovar, a talented performer, label-signed recording artist, yogini and founder of nonprofit, Hanuman Homies. In this 'truthful' interview, they talk about "Staying True" - a topic that many of us tend to ponder about in our daily lives. Stefanie shares her history and powerful journey by remaining true to herself and what she has been called to do in her life. From performing onstage to discovering her calling and resonance with yoga and chanting, you will discover why so many people have found such power and liberation from her classes, music and community outreach. You will definitely find warmth, joy and inspiration in your hearts when listening to Stefanies interview.

Stefanie Tovar began her yoga journey as a performing artist through the practice of Baptiste Power Yoga in 2004. Stefanie travelled the world as a performing artist and found yoga gave her a sense of groundedness and serenity, no matter where her work and suitcases took her.

While touring in her professional offering of performing arts, Stefanie felt a feeling of isolation and disconnect from the world around her and craved an opportunity to hold space for herself and others to make a lasting impact.

Tragedy of losing a loved one suddenly hit her heart, and she decided to make a big change; from the stage, makeup and lights to the dark solace of the yoga room to process her grief, diving into introspection to uncover a new way of being in the world.

Initially Stef thought she would get her Yoga Teacher Training Certificate and move to NYC to reclaim her pursuit of her ambitions in the arts, but love and yoga kept her in Texas.  It was there that she met her Bhakti Yoga Teacher Sean Johnson, of Sean Johnson and the Wild Lotus Band who lead her back to her creative spirit...This time sharing her love of music and storytelling to help herself and others heal and renew in a yoga room, one breath at a time. Stef is honored to be able to share part of her Bhakti Yoga practice with the support of Sony’s label, The Orchard through the release of her Debut EP Album Shine a Light.

Stefanie also found inspiration to bring about more tangible action within her Yoga community after shifts in power November 2017. Stef's Facebook Group, Hanuman Homies became a nonprofit entity, Hanuman Homies in April 2017

Hanuman Homies champions nonprofits and vulnerable communities by hosting donation drives and Outreach Yoga with hopes to spread awareness and more acts of Seva Yoga: Yoga that fuses Karma (Action) Yoga with Bhakti (Devotion) Yoga. Hanuman Homies also offers yoga to vulnerable communities with a special focus on youth.

Stefanie feels so blessed to have yoga, social outreach, and arts in her life, and hopes to be able to share Resilient Light and Love with Yoga with you with all of her being. Whether through streaming loving sounds or mindful movement.

Don’t forget to tune into what Andi is offering LifeRhythms Radio listeners.  This incredible soul has something very valuable to offer you. Indeed, this is another episode that you definitely cannot miss!

About Andi Starr:

Andi Starr is a classically trained pianist, identical twin, and pastor’s daughter, who at twenty-two-years old, picked up a $100 guitar to help her find a way out of the religious upbringing that no longer worked for her.

Over a decade and six albums later, the resulting music reflects not only the ambiance and dynamics of her classical upbringing but has garnered comparisons to The Cranberries, Joni Mitchell, and Tori Amos. Starr’s particular gift is in turning difficult subject matter into heartfelt, sometimes haunting, and always beautiful compositions. Culturespill Magazine states: “Andi Starr hits the right notes: the notes that hurt, the notes that know you, the notes that make you meet yourself.”

As a multi-instrument, singer-songwriter and producer, Starr first started performing in her hometown of Portland, Oregon, where she worked with indie producer Larry Crane (Slater Kinney, Cat Power, Elliott Smith), and played sold-out shows at some of the premier venues, including Mississippi Studios and the legendary Crystal Ballroom.

But it wasn’t always easy. Starr battled intense, debilitating stage fright in her early years. Troubled by this and haunted by overwhelming nighttime dreams, she turned to psychology (particularly the work of Carl Jung) to understand her dreams and overcome her fear, which also, in turn, deepened her songwriting.

Starr has received much radio attention for her work, including Sirius XM (Coffee House Station 33), KINK (101.9 FM) in Portland, Oregon, and KMTT (103.7 FM, The Mountain) in Seattle, Washington; has had songs featured in television and film; and has played over one hundred shows (including the prestigious venue Crystal Ballroom). Her song “American Doll (Live at Reed College)” was aired over the opening credits in Espisode 12, Season 2, of the television show “Charmed,” as released on the DVD version.

“Do what you love, and the world will folllow.” – Andi Starr
