What Does It Mean To Be Self-Aware?
In this episode, we discuss the listener question, “What does it mean to be self-aware?” We open the conversation by questioning if we have always been self-aware. The answer is no, and we reflect on the pivotal time we began to shift our awareness.
What does it mean to be self-aware? What does a lack of self-awareness lead to? How can self-awareness improve our relationships? Can cultivating self-awareness lead us to take accountability for ourselves? Does living in a state of 'non-awareness' force us to act out of reaction?
We discuss our take on these questions, and ultimately, we come to the realization that it is up to each of us to continue to cultivate a sense of self-awareness and take accountability on a daily basis in order to tap into our fullest lives.

How Do I Quiet My Noisy Mind?
In this episode, we discuss a question from a listener who asks, 'How do you deal with impulses or distracting thoughts when trying to be present, journal, or meditate?'"
You know when you’re in a work flow and your mind tells you to check your phone? Or something doesn’t go well and you assume yourself a failure? We discuss several ways to break the cycle of getting sucked in by your thoughts, such as:
- Becoming the Observer: Recognizing ourselves as observers, separate from thoughts.
- Acceptance: Understanding that thoughts aren't inherently bad; resistance hooks us.
- Understanding the Difference: Distinguishing between experiencing and thinking.
- Isolation: Recognizing thoughts and impulses as separate.
- Being Present: Accepting ever-present thoughts, and learning to keep them at arm's length.
This excellent question created the space for us to discuss this extremely important question - one of understanding that will deliver us to inner peace and happiness.

How Do I Set Healthy Boundaries With My Partner?
In this community series episode, we address a question from a listener who is looking to set boundaries with their partner after recently moving in together. A few notable take-aways are the following:
- Take accountability for your own growth so you know your needs and dislikes and can communicate these to your partner before resentment forms.
- Create an intentional space to have the hard conversations early on with your partner to cultivate a safe and comfortable environment to coexist in.
- Avoid relying on your partner to make you happy; instead, take accountability for cultivating your own happiness, in doing so you can show up for your partners out of love and not out of need.
- Maintain alone time to preserve your sense of independence and separateness.
Ultimately, we end on the reflection that relationships can be an incredible opportunity to learn about ourselves, especially when we have the difficult conversations and work through our insecurities in the process of voicing our needs.
