Energy Healing and Traumas
We've all faced some sort of trauma in our lives. Big or small, these traumas can greatly affect every aspect of our lives- from the emotional to the physical. Healing these traumas is an important step in order to move forward. Energy healing is one way to do that. In this final episode of Season 1 of "Linz Talks Life", Emily Drew joins me to discuss how she works as an energy healer. Emily is a yoga teacher, energy therapist, and inspirational singer-songwriter. With Clairsentient, Clairaudient, and Claircognizant abilities, Emily blends Eastern practices with Western psychology to facilitate an all-encompassing healing experience. She specializes in healing the core wounds that keep individuals stuck in repeating patterns and suffering. Having overcome major depression, spending 15 years on the maximum dosage of antidepressants, Emily’s long journey of healing, learning, and growing has made her passionate about creating real change in the world through emotional health and spiritual connection. I found our conversation fascinating, and I love that we ended this season on a healing note. You can connect with Emily on her Instagram @emilydrewlove and on her website You can also find the Relationship Rescue video training that we discuss in this episode as a free resource on her website! She was born and raised in Northern Italy, and currently resides in the Reno-Tahoe area. She is passionate about helping women who are struggling with finding their worth after receiving a devastating health diagnosis. Finding the Positives in Divorce
How do you stay positive during one of the most difficult transition periods in your life? How can your divorce make you better, not bitter? Those are just a few of the things I discuss with my guest Nina in this episode. Nina lives in Phoenix and is a writer, podcast host, realtor, mother, yogi, soul seeker, and many other things, too. Her calling is to open hearts and discussions about finding hope when life gets hard. Nina’s biggest life turning point came in the form of divorce. It turned out to be a total tear down/reconstruction situation. Marriage, family, career, home- all of it. It was an unwanted awakening that turned out to be a complete blessing. What Nina learned is that it’s not what happens in our lives that defines us, but how we handle and view those big moments. Every challenge is an opportunity for love, growth and insight- that’s called Seeing the Upside. See the Upside is a website, blog and podcast focused on finding positivity and meaning in all things. It’s a place where stories are shared, insight is found, connections are created, and purpose is awakened. Separating in a Healthy Way
Keeping conflict away from your kids when you’re separating is so important, but it can be really hard to do- especially at the beginning when emotions are raw from a breakup. How do you protect your kids from that conflict and separate in a healthy way? That’s exactly what my guest Sheila and I discuss in this episode. Sheila is the founder of Cooperative Strategies. She’s also an attorney, mediator and author, who began her legal career practicing personal injury and medical malpractice law in Texas and Washington, DC. She was inspired to create CSFL after several years working with parents through her company, Gardener Parenting Consultants. In that work, Sheila coached parents struggling to co-parent- to create peaceful, two-household families that supported their children. Having grown up in a cooperative, two-household family, Sheila became passionate about helping parents make conscious decisions to protect and provide for their children into adulthood. Trained in Mediation, Collaborative Practice, and Parenting Coordination, Sheila guides clients toward mutually-acceptable resolutions that reflect their highest priorities. You can connect with Sheila on her Instagram @twohousesonefamily and website You can find her books “Two Houses One Family” and “Made of Love” on Amazon. Homeschooling as a Single Mom
The pandemic has forced many parents to start thinking about alternatives to public school. Private school and homeschooling quickly became viable options to those who had never considered them previously. Homeschooling requires a big commitment from parents- but imagine being a single parent doing it all. Now, imagine being a single parent of five kids and homeschooling them all (oh, plus working from home). That's exactly what my guest Kerri does. In this episode, we discuss her personal journey with homeschooling, and how she manages to juggle it all. We also touch a bit on the role faith has played in her life, as well as how it plays into how she teaches her kids. Kerri is a single mom of five, who has faced a lot of trauma and hardship in her life. While navigating those challenges, she has leaned on God, and He has been so faithful in every moment of her journey. She’s now using her journey to offer hope to others so that they, too, may see the faithfulness and love of Christ. She calls herself a mompreneur, and she runs her own blog, in addition to working from home, being a social media influencer, and homeschooling her kids.
